Thought this would be of interest to you all.

The site http://www.sublevel28.com has this contest going with some pretty great prizes one being your very own star in the night sky. Plus lots of other stuff like posters , books , patches etc..

I need to point out, however, that the *only* group which has the authority to actually name stars is the International Astronomers Union. No astronomer officially recognizes those stars "named" by commercial firms or contests.

Actually Yes It Is!!

We are giving away a star registry from International Star Registry. It is a recognized and all stars are actualy are copyrighted to the individual. If you had bothered to go to the site and check it out you would have seen that.

Ive already got a star named after me, my boyfriend did it for Christmas, it was soooo romantic, but I can never find it in the sky, they all look the same to me
