Most fans agree that the music of Joseph LoDuca is one of the most impressive things about the series. As well as the all musical episodes, the music that accompanies the episodes and various songs we hear now and then are something many of us enjoy greatly. Indeed, the series` only Emmy Award (so far!) was won by Joseph LoDuca last year for his music for the episode Fallen Angel, and this after 5 nominations!

The record company Varese Sarabande have announced that there is to be one more final CD release on JUNE 19, 2001, and it`s a very special one too!

"Our tremendously successful series of Xena soundtracks from the blockbuster TV show is about to come to a grand and glorious end. To celebrate the series finale and the end of Xena’s long run, Varèse Sarabande Records and composer Joseph LoDuca have prepared a valiant send off. Xena Volume Six is the most spectacular volume of all. For starters, Xena Volume Six is the first 2-CD set of the series. Featuring over two hours of the music fans have been demanding, Xena Volume Six includes music from Xena’s grand finale … her trip to Japan! Music from Xena’s Ring Trilogy of episodes (The Ring, The Rheingold and The Return of the Valkyrie) is here as well as the epics Fallen Angel and Ides of March. Rounding out this landmark set is a collection of fifteen of the most requested unreleased songs and novelty items from the show’s six seasons. No Xena fan can be without this one!

Over 2 hours of music never before available celebrates the legend that is Xena: Warrior Princess. Xena the television show and Xena, the series of soundtracks are both ready to go out with a bang!"

Incidentally, the Varese Sarabande web site has pretty good prices on the other XENA cds...Just search for XENA or JOSEPH LODUCA.
