"Enemies is a terrific season opener. What I wanted to do was take our two big nemeses of the last two years and put them together so the episode features Apophis and the Replicators with a whole load of twists that will leave our audiences gasping." Suffice it to say that not only does Teal'c have a bad brain day, his body doesn’t fare much better and his SG-1 chums have to save the day, as well as rescuing Teal'c and themselves while truing to escape both arch villains

which leads right into threshold

hmmm, nice quote.....the replicators huh? okay i'm at a complete lose as to how they can shove the replicators and them other dudes together, but hey this satargate they can do anything:(

What's with Teal'c

Okay, just exactly happened with Teal'c. He wasn't really a spy for Aphophis, was he? I mean, that's the idea Apophis put into his head when he brainwashed him or whatever. He really had betrayed Apophis. I just don't think that we can buy the idea that he was an "agent" for Apophis all the time.

Wonder how SG will deprogrammed him. With the Tok'ra's help? From the preview of the next show he is still a menace to SGC.

Comments, please

I really don't believe all this time he's been a spy. Apophis had him at least 10 hours before they showed up on the cargo ship. Though the ideal of goa'uld tech that can so thoroughly brainwash someone that quickly is very scary!!

What was implied on several lists was that Teal'c was sarced (put in a sarcophagus) and turned back to Apophis that way... He was brainwashed and we will find out more about how he is unbrain washed in Episode #2 Threshold.

1st episode

half way through and what is going on

- Teal'c ? huh... what
- and the lego monsters are back!

um, i hope it gets better than this. We have seen all of this before. Goa'uld ship, replicators... only difference was Teal'c which is a nice idea but well... not enough.. comments?

I actually quite liked it. maybe cause i've been missin it. i luved the
"....last chance i have of being right."
"What?"
"welcome to my life!"
"What?"

it had me chuckling 4 a while

Did you turn on late too then?

It wasn't very well advertised that it started tonight. I missed about 20 minutes. I agree that we have seen them stuck on a mother ship before, but it was a little different. How did Teal'c get brainwashed?

It was interesting to get the replicators to use replicator technology to get them home, because I couldn't think of a way to do it that wouldn't have been corny.

Is Apophis finally dead this time?

the replicator thing just seemed crazy, if they can build an engine like they did then surley they can just build a star ship from planets. Hope we actually find something out about them this time instead of watching more and more shots of them being shot with shotguns.

did anyone notice the speed up shots of them shooting. Didn't look brilliant.

Oh well, hoped for a bit better. The only interesting bit of the episode was Teal'c being brain washed and we didn't find out anything about that.

Yeah lets hope so;)

Was not that impressed with the season opener:(
It seem like a lot of nothing happened:eek:

As you guys have said...most of it has been done before.
The Teal'c thing was good and I am hoping that will be explored next week:D

Sam's line: "welcome to my life" was great had me laughing for a while.

So as they say...things can only get better:rolly2:

I liked it, but I haven't seen it in a while, I thought the ep was cool, carters quip was funny :D

I hope so. He's just not as threatening as he once was.
However, I had a feeling he'll be back, That "killing off" wasn't dramatic enough!

Yeah you got that right:D
They always seem to be able to bring him back when they need a bad guy:rolleyes:

*I* hope he's not dead! Although I don't quite see how he's not...

Thought it was a good ep, true about everything being seen before, made me smile when Jack lay down at the foot of Cronos' throne; very ironic. I also think it was good about continuity; having Cronos' throne (still) there in the first place!!

Didn't think it was spectacularly great or bad!

well I've been waiting a long time for this new season, so its good just to watch it!
Getting home was far too convenient with the replicators new ability  800xfaster than max, 125 years travel in about 1 hour  I had suspected that asgard would be the ones to help them home, or they would find a stargate, but this was a bit weak. Also y would the bugs decide to go that far in search of food when there must be millions of planets inbetween???

I did like some of the new look bigger bugs, I expected them to start flying from the look of them though ;)

Teal'c did get brainwashed very fast didn't he!! When did Popsy find time for that inbetween escaping the supernova and fighting off the bugs???

I have a feeling that we will explore the brainwashing more next week...as Jacob said, they've got his body, but his mind is another matter.

And can some one remind me what happened to Tanith at the end of the last season? Did he get off that planet, or was he toasted? Hope not...

True, I wonder what did happen to Tanith - that bit could've been explained.

Just noticed - there was actually swearing for once - Sky didn't edit it out. Miracle...

Hmm, never thought of that. Good point Markpud!

I have waited for this ep for what seems like ages, and well im sorry to say i didnt enjoy it as much as i was hopping to.

The whole bickering between jacob & jack just didn't feel right , i felt it was over done. i mean jack just seemed to be there to be made to look stupid & make the numbers up rather than be there commander.

i know that some would disagree but ive just watched every episode from the begining over the last two weeks (im off sick) and yes there's banter but not like this this was more sarkey but not funny ha ha.

we all know jacks not the brightest bulb in the box but hey message to the writers cut him some slack would your !

i would of liked to know how they managed to brainwash tealc, hopefully they'll explain that in the next ep. there was a coulple of good one liners and overhall the action was ok but on my little scale of coolness this only rates a 6/10.

ahh well heres hoping it gets better perhaps we're just spoilt by all the great eps they do that when ones not up to that standard you get peeved.

or i do anyway, sorry ive rambled but i am sick you know.

shippygirl

or i do anyway.......

Ummm

I didnt think the episode was great but it was good, as for it not being advertised very well ya must have not watched any commercial breaks hehe.

Over last couple of weeks there has been a 5 second promo for season 5 on nearly every commercial break on SKY One, sometimes it was shown twice in one break, and quite often it was shown with the new Enterprise trailer.
