"The Switchman"

Okay I saw the first episode of the Sentinel for the first time. REally liked it. One of my favorite lines was where Ellison told the lady lieutenant that her watch was on the rear floorboard of her car.
Also his reaction to Sandburrg when he threatened him with impersonation, harassing a police officer etc.
I look forward to seeing the other episodes and seeing where this show goes.

that 'lady lt' -- is Jim's ex-wife -

one of my favorite scenes (and what i think is one of the best scenes in the entire series) is in this episode --- Jim and Carolyn (or Caroline - i never remember how she spells her name) -- just had that little tiff in the restaurant and Jim is running after her and he kisses her -- great scene -- (the whole apology thing) -- can't really put my finger on why i like the scene - but there's just something about the emotion that's expressed there that i love about that scene - one of the other great things about it - it's in the PILOT ep! (how odd is that?)

i also like the scene in Blair's 'aftifact closet' (office) -- 'probable cause to shake this place top to bottom for narcotics' (just watched 3/4 of this ep last night - going through my Senitinel tapes to figure out which eps i need to retape b/c scifi made a mess) ---

oh - then the scene where they have to fall to the ground beneath the truck --- ooh --- great scene there too!

and - of course -- 'she thinks you're a dork' - when Blair has Jim 'listen' in for him ----

okay - think that's all for now ----

Just watched this one again yesterday - since SciFi's running them again -

and I realized why I love Richard Burgi so much - he's such an amazing talent (and one of those underrated actors) -- He can do so much. He's excellent with showing emotion.

Like the scene in Blair's office - he's so irritated about having to be there and he's so annoyed as his wonky senses b/c he can't figure them out -- it's great!

I read somewhere that that scene in the office was the audition scene for one or the other of the two actors - Richard or Garrett, and I don't recall which -- apparently it worked, though! :)
