According to Starguide, RDA said the following in the June 4 chat with fans in Germany:

"I would love to do a sixth season," he said. "In fact, if we were speaking next week we would know for sure. We're waiting for MGM to tell us if we're to continue or not. So write lots of letters. Call MGM! E-mail MGM! Please!"

My letter is as follows (and I don't think it would be a huge deal if anyone copied it word for word/MGM will be looking more for quantity than diversity in what is said):

"Dear Sir or Madam:

I understand that a decision is soon to be made with regard to continuing the series Stargate SG-1 into a sixth season, and am writing this letter to encourage you to say "yes".

This show has an incredible internet following. I'm sure that you would find an even larger fandom given more intense advertising and marketing. There remain large numbers of people who are still

discovering, or have yet to discover this brilliant series. It would be unfortunate to pull it away from them before they've even had the

chance to fully appreciate the superb quality of writing, casting, acting, etc. that goes into literally every episode.

I know mine is a small voice; but I hope it is amplified enough by other letter writers with the same goal in mind, i.e. keeping Stargate SG-1 alive for at least one more season."

i sent quite a few e-mails, but the only thing im worried about is MGM could filter out all these e-mails (somehow) and not pay any attention to the fans!
and my other worry is that i've heard that MS might not be up to a S6, he's definitely up for a film..but i heard he might not want to continue with a s6 cos he thinks he's done enuff with the character of daniel. if MS doesnt sign, then the others might not and MGM might not allow a S6 cos a main character is missing. if MS doesnt sign for s6, then the 6th season might not be a reality any more...
