Imagine this. Me meeting Bruce Campbell!?!?
Well, I did! He came to a Borders Books and More in nearby Ann Arbor on Friday June, 8th.
And I went!
My best friend Jennifer and I got to the book store at 3pm. We had 4 ½ hours to kill! So we bought this great new book If Chins could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor (I highly recommend the book) We then wandered around the store for 1 ½ hours. ( I bought a Xena book
)
We sat in a Grecian Island Coney Island for a good hour talking. Then we went back to Borders. We got to the store at 6. We were numbers 37 and 38.
The King showed up fashionably late at around 7:40. He got off the elevator and everyone started chanting “Camp-Bell, Camp-Bell†He got up to his podium and asked if we’d rather him ask questions or read. He was answered with a resounding “READ!†So what chapter does he choose to read? Chapter 42~ Fanalysis! He opens up his book and read some of it. Of course adding in his own l ittle comments. Things like~ “Grand Rapids†he then waited for a cheer that never came. Then he says “Grand Rapids!!†That was met with a mediocre little cheer. Then he commented on how the price of gas must have been really high. He continued to read that chapter. Then he asked a little about us. “Who here knows where Royal Oak is?†That got some huge cheers! Then he asked “whose been there?†silence. Well, silence that is, except for me. I put out a big “Hell Yeah†and Bruce started laughing. “Well it’s nice to know that I have at least one stalker in the crowd!†I’m Bruce’s Stalker!! He then told us about a boy who had just graduated high school and sent Bruce his tassel because he said that he was about to commit suicide but he caught an ep. of Brisco and loved it. He had to comment on “What if that boy had seen ED?!†Then he asked, “who’s a high school graduate here?†I remained silent because I’m not yet! I yelled out “Almost! I got until Tomorrow!†He then proclaimed that he was glad his stalker was almost out of school so he could have a full time stalker!
