Houston, I mean Charlie we have a problem

I have a question, I am assuming it is a mess up on the writer's of SG1, in the movie when they are showing O'Neill as a mess there is a plauqe that says "Tyler O'Neill"

I just wanna know if this is a messup on the writer's part and if so am I the first to notice it or if I am mistaken.

The name of Jack O'Neil's son in the movie was Tyler. On the Series Jack O'Neill's son is Charlie. Go figure Tyler O'Neil... Charlie O'Neill..... In "Secrets" (Season 2) they teased about the spelling of Jack's name as Jack said something about "That is O'Neill with two l's not the O'Neil with one" and no sense of humor...I don't remember the quote exactly....

they were picking fun at the movie...and tyler vs charlie...likely the same reason in the pilot of startrek they show a tombstone of james r kirk instead of the well known t...the writers for a latter eps didn't know about the first one and no one caught it.

it's likely the same reason they fled to p3x234 in nemesis and returned from p4x234 in small vics...the official term is 'oops'

Oh, yeah, there are sooooo many um, what we'll call "differences" between the movie and series. I figure we just say that the movie happened in an Alternate Universe. Works for me.

i was thinking that the movie was supposed to be more closely based on the tv series -- but hey - what the heck do i know? i'm not in the loop - and i never seem to find the really good info --

it would make more sense to stick to the series canon if they use the series cast -- b/c isn't the series supposed to pick up a short while after the movie? wouldn't make much sense to go backward, now would it?

well they'd better include sg1 but i read some rumor somewhere that they where thinking of just ignoring the whole sg1 series but i can't see how they can do that.

how much sense would that make? ignoring the series but using the series characters? unless they are VERY specific that that is what they are doing - they'll just confuse people --

(i'm thinking that's what they did w/ the Highlander 4 movie - for the most part -ignored the series - which is bad - b/c that means there is NO bkgrnd for the character interaction on the screen - ugh - stupid suits)

how true--i don't know how they can ignore the series ( with either sg1 or highlander) because each have a fan base that will go to the movie and get pissed!!!
i guess if we get rumors that at and cj are signed then we'll know that the movie will include sg1 since their characters were not in the original movie--
anybody hear anything??
