As described in yesterday 'Broken Bow' script review, Enterprise's main villains will be the Suliban, a race obsessed with genetic engineering. According to new information that appeared online today, the Suliban won't be able to just modify their own genetic code, but also their skeletal structure.

"Yes," Garth Franklin at Dark Horizons wrote. "The Suliban have this 'skeletal restructuring' ability. [What] what it looks like is hard to figure out (even with the text) but the abilities it gives them is cool."

The Suliban's skeletal structuring will be showcased about half a dozen times in the Enterprise pilot, as the aliens use their abilities to flatten themselves and move through openings only a few inches wide. In addition, they will be shown turning their various limbs 360 degrees, making it hard to restrain them with ordinary handcuffs.

In the pilot, the Suliban will be seen capturing an injured Klingon pilot, under the direction of their leader Silik. They have previously been described as a nomadic race, consisting of several factions.

I read this too. I also read that they will be the main continuing villains in the new series.

My question is where did they go to between 2266 and 2378, because we never see them again. Maybe we will find out?

that is the big question isnt it...

Maybe the klingons will go on a tribble-like quest to eradicate them a few years before Kirk :D

who knows.........

Well I do hope the writers have an explanation, or I am going to start writing some letters. All my fears about them careering through the Star Trek backstory with a Bulldozer are becoming a reality!

OOOO watch out trek writers.... Dave is on the war path...

dont worry Dave, i'm sure they'll give a good reason towards the end of "Enterprise" for why we never hear of them again...

Probably get wiped out by archer during a experiment... or he will crash / blow up the ship like Kirk did... LOL

They are supposed to be able to alter their bone structure. What if they are involved in a terrible accident using the primitive transporters and the Klingons, resulting in a new klingon race with bumpy foreheads.

potential spoilers for the pilot ep -----------

well - the are kinda bumpy already --

really weird looking creatures --

they can flatten and turn/twist at odd angles -- but are susceptible to phaser fire

and one even alter features to look human (she kissed Archer) and has the ability to know if one is telling the truth (man, a gypsy did the same thing on an ep of MacGyver -- kissed him and knew he was telling the truth -- wow - must be a really good trick! i'll have to try it sometime! ;) )
