Stargate Hyperspeed!

Later on today...

Later on today it will be online.

I wonder if any of you can guess what films those quotes were from?

Wonderful opening! (Were you playing the Stargate SG-1 Theme?)
I loved it! Will tune in later for the next opening! Thanks Indiana and all!

I wasn't playing any them tune. It's not a flash Animation. Just some Dynamic HTML.

The site will be pretty empty on the opening day. There will be lots of unwritten Episode Reviews, but still the chance for you to submit your own reviews for each episode. The most complete Episode Review will be Thor's Hammer as it comes complete with two Wallpapers in the Multimedia Section for that Episode. Sound bytes, video clips and 30 second previews will be a while at least until I can get money (basically when I return to college and get funded) for an FTP, sound card and a decent video compression utility for video files. One that I hope all will like is a preview for Stargate 2 which I made.

Sounds great, can't wait. So you haven't told us yest where those quotes are from in your intro.

The first quote, "Make sure our seat backs and trays are in the upright position" is from Independence Day from the mouth of Captain Stephen Hiller (Will Smith) as they are about to head into space. "Hold on to Something!" is from the Lost World:Jurassic park. Jeff Goldblum souts Hang on to something when the trailer is being pushed over the cliff.

The next three quotes are from a Scene in Armageddon were the Freedom and Independence crew (there's that damn Independence theme again) are training for Space Flight on the Air Crafts. The officer who is speaking to the says, "This plane ride is gonna be a Brutal Assault on your senes. I'm gonna suck your eyes into the back of your head. I'm gonna flip ya, I'm gonna twist ya...(he says something else but i never included it because I never caught what he said). When ya Squeal I'm just gonna go faster and harder!"

The next quote comes from The Lord of The Rings (which I saw the trailer for, but it's no doubt in the book as well). Strider looks at Frodo and asks, "Are you frightened?" frodo replies, "yes" and strider concludes with, "Not nearly frightened enough."

And finally we have a quote which has been seen in two pieces of film. Star Wars and Stargate SG-1. Han Solo uses the term "Punch it!" when he is shouting at chewie to hit the controls to enter Hyperspace and Sam Carter use the same term on two occassions (to my knowledge it is two but she could have said it on more than one occassion). The first is in The Serpents lair when she is talking to Teal'C in the Death Glider and again in Tangent when she is shouting to her father to hit the controls to enter...you guessed it...Hyperspeed.

looking good!
