SG Teams

Ok, this is probably a dumb question for most of you but I am new to this. How many SG teams are there? I know there are at least 12. I remember in the first few episodes, might of been the pilot, general hammond stated how many teams there are.
is there a breakdown of how many teams and their purpose.

I think in the four years that it has been on they have increased to 15 teams.

I have seen all the episodes except threshold and excepting out of mind which was set in the future and had 28 teams I believe it was the highest numbered team mentioned so far is indeed SG-15.

Ok so this is a list of the SG Team designations I have found thusfar. Doeas anyone have any corrections or additions?

SG-1 Exploration/First Contact
SG-2 Exploration
SG-3 Marine Combat Unit (led by Colonel Makepeace)
SG-4 Exploration
SG-5 Marine Combat Unit
SG-6
SG-7 Scientific Corp.
SG-8 Medical Team (This team typically will travel accompanied by SG-3 during medical emergencies.)
SG-9 Diplomatic Corp. (Led by Attorney Major Stan Kovachek)
SG-10
SG-11 Engineering Corp. M.I.A.
