Sg-1 Season 2 Box-set R1 ???????

anyone know if an season 2 box-set is in progress (region 1)

R1 S2 DVD's

Last info I heard [which was from 'Starguide'] was that R1 DVD's for second season weren't in MGM's immediate future.

IMHO they don't understand the fan base out here and I can't see a way to get it across to them.

Write them. Write them and write them and then write them some more. that's how we finially got the S1 R1 DVD's.

I agree with Rowan! Just be firm but polite! These people have sat on thier butts while the rest of the world has been getting Season 4 and the good old USA has just gotten season 1.

Odd question about Season 1 DVDs

Hey, I've watched my US DVDs of season one on two different players now, and a problem which I thought was just my player seems to be with the disks themselves. Does anyone else have this problem?

In some episodes, certain portions of the voice tracks are just silent. Two examples from watching my disks:

In Brief Candle, the video message to O'Neill is silent, but in the flashback in Politics, the same video has sound.

In The Nox, Apophis' mouth moves but no sound comes out. Again, in the flashback in Politics, Apophis' voice is audible.

What's going on? I thought it was just my crappy TV and my less-than-top-notch DVD player, but the same thing happened with a friend's player and TV that cost at least double what I paid for mine... and the two episodes are not on the same disk.

I posted over in the other 1st season DVD thread. I was sort of skeptical that the disks could be bad, but since you've repeated it on another player, you could genuniely have a bad set of DVDs. And a few others on that thread have noticed like problems in almost the areas.

Are you still within the return time on the set? Worth a try.

The audio on the Brief Candle ep is a bit low. The audio guys must not have been ready for an ep with no explosions. However, I must have a good set of the DVDs cause I hear the guys saying bye-bye to Jack. And, I've always thought the dear old big baddy gou'auld was the strong silent type. He gets so much done with so little words.

Apophis voice comes through the rear speakers 4 me.
So if u have an surround stereo, try adjusting the channels.
This may also be the same thing with other episodes some have problems with.

i have no problem with my disc.

and many is reporting a few sec's freeze on some disc's (those with 5 episodes on each).
That is because the disc is dual layer, and its changing layer.
But this is not 4 all dvd players.

Yah, I'm thinking that DVDs are not like old VCRs they are made for use with home theater and perform best there.

Like I said... write, Write, WRITE MGM nice, professional, to the point letters. E-mail doesn't get their attention, it's processed and probably not even looked at. Same with petitions.

Write letters and tell them what you want.
