THERE IS A SITE CALLED SG1ARCHIVE .COM WHERE YOU DOWNLOAD SERIES 1-5 AND BONUS VIDEOS USING WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

Yeah, it a great site, but currently the episode downloads have been removed. The owner recieved an email claiming to be representitives of the show, asking him to close the site down.

It is now known that the email was a hoax, however the site site doesn't have any episodes up (although there are still episode trailers available) :)

Does anyone know if the site will be getting the episode downloads back again?

I live somewhere where it is very difficult to get any stargate stuff......and I neeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddd stargate to live !!!!!

Willz
:blpaw: :blpaw:

mayday - must find new download site

I too am in need of my SG1 episodes. My station picked it up season 4 and is now running season 4 reruns before even finishing season 4. I was slowly making my way through seasons 1 and 2 and now the site is down. Does anyone know of any new download sites ???

Uh, I get redirected to a K2 site for Hungarian uni students called Sg1archive.net, is neone else having this prob and wotz happening !?!? :( :(

hey Hungry - the archieve is down, dead, no longer allowed to run the show because of some copyright laws, etc...blaa,blaa,blaa

if you find a new site, let me know

as for now... i am hoping that sci fi will buyand run 1-5 seasons

Arrrgghhhh !! NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I neeeeed my stargate !!! If neone finds another site, PM me too !!! :(

Stoopid copyrite stuff ....

*COPYRIGHT*

Copyright : its annoying at times  but if we didn't have it, they WOULDN'T MAKE STARGATE!! :(   :dead:

Basically, (okay, and this is only applicacable because we still use money), if there was no copyright law, people would be able to copy anything and everything. Which would totally undermine things like "official" sales of videos/DVDs and even syndication to other countries/networks of entire series'. Which would mean reduced, or even no, money to the makers of SG-1, and therefore they would simply stop making it! :(

BUT - and this is where I think they [MGM bigwigs] are stupid - they are NOT maximising their own income:- there are still HUGE markets for syndication and merchandising out there/here in the world, and they are ignoring them.

Dozens of countries are dying to see the show, and both they and everywhere is gagging for VHS/DVD availability (as seen by other threads in this forum). And that doesn't even consider all the other merchandising opporunities: hands up all those who want a 3 foot accurate replica of the stargate at home in aircraft quality aluminium or similar? ;)

<RAISES HAND>

ME !!! ME !! Wouldn't mind a few serpent/horus guards to guard my room either ......... :rolly2: :D :rolly2:

ok Pteppic

who said you could be a voice of reason and common sense in our time of whining!!

yeah, i know you are right about the copyright thing.

but you are also right about the vhs/dvd thing. i would definitely be at least renting them if not buying them. i think the most they have available is season 2, right ? and only by internet order.

i don't want teal'c magnets for my fridge but the episodes available on ANY format would be nice.

[It is a VERY annoying habit I have of being able to see, if not the reality, the othr side of most arguments, which I will then state clearly and defendably, much to the extreme wrath of the people I am with... ]

As for the episodes - although here at the Embassy in the UK we have all of series 2, 3, and 4 (with 5 due "sometime", but definitely planned), we have only about 5 episodes of series 1! Which means key people such as a the Tollan, or Cassandra, or the second (Antarctic) gate, have not been shown. But we also get to not see "Emancipation", which is a good thing! [Is that really the worst of the episodes ever made?]

now alas, you have my brain boiling and my pinky poised on my lip in an austin powers moment,........the worst episode of stargate ever made,....the episode i am glad is not out on dvd/vhs.....hmmmm........

i'll get back to you

again, i am disturbed by your contunued ability to think and analyze, face value is so much easier

Oddlky enough, with people I tend to see only the face value.

Any form of technical argument, I tend to jump straight into analytical mode, a result of a part-time job back on Reetalia.

Why doesnt MGM release the Farkin videos on DVD for seasons 2,3,4 and 5 in the US, I'd gladly buy EVERY SINGLE SEASON and I'm sure a lot of others would too.

if you are still wanting to download them just get a program like Kazaa and download them from there
