LOL! That would be great! I can picture us all sitting at our PC's flicking through the dictionary, trying to understand what we all wrote!;) :laugh2:

Skydiver and Geronimo would be the exceptions! They , at least, have started their own dictionaries... but not grammars!

To be honest, I don't think they have spoken enough Goa'uld to derive a "language" per se.

If you are including the language spoken on Abydos as well, that is claimed by Daniel to be a derivation of Egyptian, or parallel derivation... BUT he had more trouble speaking on Abydos, and had to re-translate more slowly.

Which leads me to assume it is a different language from Abydos. And therefore we have only the few words ever spoken by Apophis or Tealc'/Alternate-Teal'c/Other-Alternate-Teal'c.

kel sha,

yes i know that they speak not much words in goa'uld but if the "fan article - section" from MGM would invest a little bit work in an dictionary (with some new words which aren't spoken in stargate to get a basic grammar) they perhaps would earn much money ...
'cos i think there are more crazy guys than me who will buy it if the would release one :D :D

in startrek we haven't heard much clingon and they finished a clingon dictionary -- so i hope there'll be one for stargate in anytime ;)

As a Klingon dictonary owner (and purchaser of a Goa'uld one, if it were published), the language started with the series of now 9 films, plus 7(?) series of ST:TNG, and on into 5-ish of DS9 and then Voyager. So naturally Goa'uld is at a disadvantage, since it is rarely used, other than "kree".

I am sure there is a lot of scope for a linguist who wants to make a name for themselves!
