Hi gang,

I was at a sci fi con this weekend and there were two writers there, Greg Cox (author of 'Battle On' An Unauthorized Irreverent Look at Xena Warrior Princess) and Keith DeCandido (a star trek author). They annouced there is a new Xena novel coming out in Sept of this year. It will be a collection of 15 short stories by 15 different authors, including, Greg Cox, Keith DeCandido, Melissa Good and Diane Duane and others. Including a story told entirely from Argo's point of view. That sounds like fun huh? The title of the book is The Further Adventures of Xena Warrior Princess, BTW the authors said the book was finished before anyone knew how the show would end, they also though the title was a bit ironic. Anyway, it is being published by Ace Books. Just thought ya'll might like to know.

There are Xena books, but most of them are targeted towards "young people" and, IMO, lack the depth the show has.

I just saw this one listed on Amazon.com It actually looks pretty good. I'll probably buy a copy. *g*

It's titled something like "Xena: The Adventure Continues" or something like that.

Yes, there are 7 novels and three children's books out at the moment. I haven't really enjoyed the novels. In fact, one of them was so boring I had to force myself to read it. The fanfiction on the net is much better than the novels. But, this new novel looks promising. I've read other stories by many of the author's who are writing for it and they are good writers. So hopefully this will be a good one. I'm looking forward to it.
