original topic i know, since they have confessed and repressed since divide and conquer and that ep where they lost their memory, but thats where i want it to stay. i dont know about you guys, but stargate would be ruined if they spent half an hour running around after each other. we should be happy with the knowledge that they do love each other, we should also be content with the lusty looks that they give each other

They were cute in "Beneath the Surface," I loved it when Sam laid her head on Jack's shoulder. And when she called him "sir" and he realized she was off limits....but I'm still a convert to the Sam/Daniel group. I used to like Sam and Jack, but have seen several scenes between Sam and Daniel that are pretty cute, too. Gossiping about scientific stuff, in their own little world....

From the convert point of view, I'd rather leave it hanging too! Oh, the possibilities!!! :upto:

I don't know why so many people are against the idea. It makes perfect sense.

Imagine this:


You are a member of the SG1, so you are a very busy person, you also work with someone for five years, you don't have anything to keep secret (i.e. SGC, Missions, Stargate, etc.).
You spend most of your time at the base anyway so what the point to develop a personal life. You see the person every day! So the feeling is mutual.

Yeah what you have said is very true

I think one of the main reasons that people don't want Sam and Jack together is because they don't want their relationship to be the main point of the show. As this has happened on many other shows and has ruined the whole thing.
As long as Stargate don't do that I think it would be fine

i TOTALLY agree with ILStSg. What i would really like to see happen is in either the last episode of the series or in the film, the announce thier love to the "world" and they date each other from then, or its all secret and they have been dating for a long time now and we (viewers) dont even know about it!! That would be ggod!

I gotta ask 1 question 2 all sam and Danny shippers, Where do you get the fact that they like each other? They dont really give each otherthose lovy dovy looks do they? i know they are both really smart, but i think that Sam loves Danny more like a brother! Don't you??

I think Jack shows alot more "affection" (and I'll just that term loosly) towards Sam than she shows him. Don't you think it's funny how we never really see Sam expressing her feelings for Jack, but we see Jack do it all the time in his concern for her, his smiles etc. Why do we never get anything from Sam?

Well.....just my 2 cents....
I'm a shipper, so, yes, I do hope and think that there "is" something between Jack and Sam...but as many have said, I don't think I'd like to see a romantic full-blown relationship between them until the last ep. or a movie...it just ruins all the tension, and it is the tension that makes it exiting....the looks, the small smiles..

I don't think it damages a sci-fi show to have "romantic dimensions", as long as it isn't the main topic. It just gives the show more personality and humanity. IMHO, anyway.

So, even if it is a bit "toned down", I firmly believe it's there!

i like it when the characters have an open relationship, which is what Sam and Jack have.

but i still would like to see them together. Having stuff like the forbidden relationship makes Stargate all the more interesting.

However, to answer Sam O'Neill. There was an ep, can't remember the name when Machello took over Tealc's/Daniel's body and Sam was very affectionate to Dannie.

He did say something like, her liking him more than a friend. All the peeps that can remember the exactish wording can put me right.

But go Jack and Sam. I think the idea of them getting it together in the background, you know what I mean, would be good. Not the main plot though. Love more than just Sam and Jack in Stargate.

That's a greast way to put it. I totally agree. They have great chemistry whether it is romantic or friendship. It's always interesting to watch their interactions.

No, it wouldn't because he would still be her commanding officer as the leader of SG-1, regardless of their rank. It's the fact that he is in charge of the unit that makes the realtionship impossible.
