JOE!!!!!!! (spoilers sort of)

Am I the only person who ABSOLUTELY CAN'T STAND JOE? I mean sum people might say that I'm bias toward Jack bcoz I think that Sam should marry him but Joe is way 2 controlling! In 2010 Sam is just way 2 easy 2 boss around and she's totally lost the kick-@$$ part of her character! Does ne1 agree?

Hmm, I didn't think Joe was *that* bad. Still, he was no Jack though!
He did seem rather controlling and acted like he "owned" Sam.

I decided if you think about it, the episode is set 10 years in the future. Lord knows what happened between that time and how the characters changed.
I think Sam was less "kick ass" because she had settled down and was trying to start a family - taking a more motherly role.
But if you notice, as soon as she finds out she can't have kids and that there is a whole hidden agenda which involves Joe (basically destroying their relationship) she kicks straight back into the military Sam from 10 years earlier.

Joe was horrible! He KNEW Sam wanted a kid, and he KNEW the Aschen had sterilise her AND HE DIDN"T SAY ANYTHING! The B'stard! He didn't love her, she was just a fast way to the SGC!

joe wanted a kid too...i think he honestly didn't know that sam had been effected. he was surprised when she said it was at 90% 'it should have been half that' or something

and in his mind he likely thought they were just going to do it to the 'unwashed masses' not the elite like he was...

Okay, so I'm biased. I'm Sam/Jack

I think saying that Joe did not love her at all is a little unfair as he did make Jack promise him that Sam would not be involved in their plan as he didn't want her to get hurt.
Also like Sky pointed out he also seemed a little surprised that 90% of women were not able to have children.

Hey pamie I think that the only reason that Joe didn't want Sam involved in nething wit Jack was bcoz he felt threatened by him. I think maybe he knew that there was sumthing between Sam and Jack but it was fine b4 coz he wasn't around and hadn't been 4 sumtime. Once he showed up, he got jealous that Sam went 2 c him on her own at his cabin and that she was going 2 go behind his back. Hee Hee! I think that Sam would have dumped him for Jack in a heartbeat given the chance after his secret was discoverd!
