Preview Trailer Music - "The Calling"

Now I don't want to get off on a rant here but...

Has anyone else heard the background music used in the first Enterprise preview trailer with the crew? It's a song by a group named appropriately enough "The Calling" and the song is "Wherever You Will Go". I have heard it a few times on the radio. The first time I heard it I was like "Where have I heard that before?" And the more I heard the more the connection started to click.

If your local Hot A/C station isn't playing it yet call and request it and be sure to mention that it is featured in the preview ad.

If you are unsure of the ad I mention it was the first one that showed members of the crew in brief clips and ended with Scott Bakula in the center seat looking up at the camera (with his NX-01 ballcap on). I haven't seen it lately. Hopefully they will start to replay it once the show gets closer to debuting.

The Enterprise title song is 'Faith of the Heart' by Rod Stewart sung by an OPERA singer! WHAT?!! I'd love to know what Music Supervisor this was who gave birth to this scary concept. I remember reading a Berman interview that said the music was going to my more contemporary and hip. This is NEITHER. It just can't be good. What a nightmare! I love ALL the previous Trek themes. I appreciate the departure in concept but not the departure in taste. Uhhh

I was so disappointed in the theme song this time! I was expecting another cool instrumental....sigh......

LOL! Well, I have no problem with the song itself, I thought it was a nice rendition. I just prefer the style they usually have for a Trek show....
