Well, I'm going to have to watch this one again.
I've gotta be missing something. But this ep just didn't do for me, I'm afraid.
The effects were very pretty and suitably awe-inspiring. The scenery was magnificent - to think it was filmed near a major city! Those mountains! With the snow on top!
But the story and the acting, hmmmmmm.
Contrived is a word that springs to mind.
Where did the Enkarans suddenly come from that SG-1 was so involved with them, that Jack felt such angst over their apparent fate?
None of SG-1 acted like SG-1. Teal'c was non-existant for starters. Sam was lacklustre. Even Daniel (and it was another Daniel episode - not that I'm complaining because he's getting better and better) didn't quite have it.
I dunno, maybe it's because I'm not well at the moment. But the best things about this ep did not involve SG-1. I can't believe I said that. Gosh, I even like Emancipation.
I definately have to watch it again.
