Hehe I chose hobbits , Elves are the obvious choise their perfection irritates me;)
besides I look like a hobbit in height and stature ;)

Orcs. I always wondered just how intrinsicly evil they were. If you put one in a shirt and slacks and raised it from youth as a human, would an Orc still be evil? plus they have cockney accents.

I chose other because I've always been more fond of the beasts, monsters and animals in stories instead of specific races. I specifically like when they combine the two and the story explores the culture of the beast, monster or animal in question. Good examples of this are Through Wolf's Eyes by Lindskold, The Last Dragonlord by Joanne Bertin, The Spellsinger series by Alan Dean Foster and The Bardic tales by Lackey and the Gryphon series by Lackey.

I've always liked animals better than people :D

Actually, in terms of which race I most enjoyed watching - easily the Nazgul. There were such a key element of the story and they were done pretty brilliantly.

I voted for elves also. They had this aura and mystery about them. I always wanted to follow them across the sea, if only to see what it was like where they were going.:)

I really liked the dwarves too.:D

I love elves, dont get me worng. I actually liked the race of man as well. Tolkien protrayed humans in a way that most fantasy fails to. Humans are usually just vanilla filler in fantasy, but tolkien made them a race of their own.

I voted "other" however. My vote goes to the Uruk-Hai. I thought they were incredibly creative. I had never seen anything quite like them before. I like the "Perfect Warrior" aspect of them. i also like that they made my favorite character (aragorn) seem even more heroic, because he showed no fear in the face of an enemy who was incapable of feeling it :)

Trolls! They were far more threatening in the books than in the movies, though the movies did handle them quite well. Just listening to the trolls dialogue in the hobbit (the only time you hear trolls speak) gives you an idea of their awesome strength. They chastise their mate for being greedy because he already ate an entire village the other night.

I voted for Elves. My favorite Elvish qualities are gracefulness, musicianship, and closeness with nature.

Elves.Knowledgeble is one thing, wisdom is another. They happen to have them both, I don't know why............ and a bit emotional as well, you see, the Elves are all sad in the story, and I am a bit of emotional person too. They are great musicians, and I love classics musics!(maybe not very classical in the technical sense, but at least they don't go to rock and heavy metal, thank god)
Nazguls are cool too! okay maybe it's just because in the movie the music for them was so great.
I really hate the dragons, not only the fact that when I play this Hero of Might and Magic and the Black Dragons always have to ruin my castle, but the way they were pertrated(spelling...read it out loud and see what it is)give me the feeling of this ugly, blood-thirst beast. At lease the Chinese Dragons are saint beasts that bless people....
One more thing, Hobbits are annoying! It's hard to describe why, but their..for lack of a better word... "stupility" really annoys me. They appears as those who doesn't know much and doesn't care much, and they live a bit too happy for reality to happen. But then again, it's fantasy we are talking about.
Men are very realistic race, a bit too realistic, in oppose to the Hobbits who are too fantastic, and the Elves too perfect. Warriors are not my type, I like spellcastors! Mages and Sorcerers are my favorite once out of the entire human race described in many fantasy books I read. They even became a race of their own in my stories!
Alright...I am hyper today, never had I written so much in a thread, I got to cool down a bit...........

Elves.
Gracefulness, immortality, lovers of nature, music and literature, noble, beautiful, wise.... What more could one ask for?
Well of course, there are a few exceptions to this description, but...

Dwarves...I don't know, just do not like Elves, I think because of movie (except Arwen (L.Tyler) and Galadriel (C.Blanchett) of course.

Dwarves I chose, not because of Gimli, because this culture. In my 'fantasy' world dwarves are the same. Mad, obstinate, honor and brave (yes, not inventice)... I like their Runes too.

'Baruk Khazad!'
