Breen and Klingon Ships

Does anyone know why it was that only Klingon ships could withstand the Breen weapon? Thanks.
 
it was just one Klingon ship at first, a fluke caused by the reconfiguartion of something or other, which allowed it to survive the attack that destroyed the Defiant etc. Then they figured out why it had survived and did the same mod to the rest of hte Klingon fleet, then spread the technique to the Federation...
 
Dont remember that episode.... will have to watch the last season again/../.. lol

I wanted to see more of the Breen, but I doubt that we will now...

...they aren't an Alpha Quadrant race are they...

...Rick Berman doesn't read emails, (but he makes an exception in this case because he is so short of aliens to use in 'Enterprise'!)
 
well could the Breen show up in ST:E? They weren't mentioned in TOS I know, but nor were the Taliban oops I mean Suliban...
 
write a convincing storyline to explain WHY they weren't seen in TOS and MAYBE it will work -- gotta explain these things, otherwise the fans go absolutely NUTS and have to explain them themselves -- it's annoying -- (want an example - visit the Highlander forum - i'm sure we've discussed the moronic inconsistencies there) ---

We never saw enough of the breen... i wanted to see more and learn more about them.... see whats under that mask

I think the Breen are a Beta Quadrant species. At least their territory is a long way off. So Kirk & Co. never visited them in TOS. In TNG the Breen were spoken of, but never seen, so again they were either very secretive, or too far away.

So I don't need to write a convincing storyline why they weren't seen in TOS, just a convincing storyline why they come to visit us in ENT.

The Borg weren't seen in TOS either, but we known that they attacked the Earth at Cochrane's Warp flight 100 years before ENT.

So, it's just a case of dreaming up the old wormhole/ spatial/ temporal anomaly business and there you have it.
 
LOL.... very true... just would like to see more of them... maybe in the new series ???
