Oz returns with surprising news. But wait until he hears what's new with Willow. Oh, and Riley crosses the Rubicon as well. (OB)

I think I'll wait and comment on this one AFTER I finish watching it.

However, even though I knew Oz was going to be coming back, the look on everyone's faces was priceless. :)

Well....Riley isn't such a soldier boy after all...

And poor oz...*sniffle*

I'm glad he's got the wolf thing mostly under control though.

honestly - i don't really like this episode much --

the idea of Oz coming back to 'close up' some story stuff is a good one, but eh -- this ep was a bit too much drama for me --

and - i like Oz better, pre-Veruca

however - Spike in 'commando' gear was pretty amusing --

*giggles* Spike looked so cute in the commando gear

*sighs* I miss Oz. Willow should of picked him....not that I don't like Tara....I just like Oz more

In a continuing series of notes on what's missing from the syndicated versions of the shows.

I just knew they were going to cut this, but I hoped they wouldn't. They cut out one of the smartest lines in Buffy history from the syndicated re-runs.

When Buffy and crew are holding Colonel MacNamara hostage as they are caught sneaking around the Initiative complex. Buffy is holding a crossbow to the Colonel's head. The following dialogue is missing:

BUFFY: Stay back... or I'll pull a William Burroughs on your leader here.

XANDER: You'll bore him to death with free prose?

BUFFY: Was I the only one awake in English that day?

----

Now I admit that I had to look this one up. William Burroughs, of course, is the writer of Naked Lunch and other classics of literature.

In 1951, William Burroughs and his wife, Joan, were part of the in-crowd. Both had been been drinking heavily at a party when they decided to do "our William Tell act", with him using a pistol to shoot a glass off of her head.

It seems to have been a lark, since there was no evidence that they had ever done such a thing before. William missed and Joan was killed instantly, by a bullet to her head. It was ruled by Mexican police as an accident.

Eight years later Naked Lunch was published and Burroughs said, "I am forced to the appalling conclusion that I would never have become a writer but for Joan's death..."

----

So, unless you see the DVD or an old tape of the show, you will never get to hear this history lesson, brought to you by your literate friends at Buffy, The Vampire Slayer.
