immortal healing

Okay, an immortal can heal from just about anything right? Right. So what if during a sword fight something happens and an immortal's arm is severed. If the immortal can press the severed limb into the "socket" again before the wound closes, would his arm re-attatch itself and be like new?

don't know about 'putting the limb into the socket', but, if you watch "For Tomorrow We Die", Duncan cuts off Xavier's hand and when Xavier appears in season 2, he has a hook in place of his hand ---

so, we know limbs will not grow back on their own, but i haven't seen any references to limbs reattaching if they are held in place -- tho, that might be a possibility since that is even sort-of possible w/ mortals -- if you cut off a limb, the doc's can stitch it back, so i would assume if an immie held his arm against his shoulder, it would reattach ----

pure speculation -- but fun!!

hmmm....I never thought about that....I would assume that it's possible...but how many immortals are going to be in a situation where they can do that...if they were in a fight they either had to run, or they lost, or they won...but by the time they recovered from the quickening it would be too late I would think

yes - that fighting thing does pose and interesting connundrum, does it not??

perhaps someone might want to explore that in a fic -- (more plot bunnies!)
