Well, there were 2 of these, and Jarod made a cameo on a third episode of Profiler -- so, this is quite and appropriate thread.

ok, in the first crossover, i want to know whatever happened to the disk george made. you know the one he gave to sam involving jarod's past. when she went to go give it to him he was already gone. where did the disk go and what was on it?

hmmmm -- the disk probably contained information about Jarod and his past and possibly the Centre -- but we'll probably never know ---- just one more of those unanswered questions --

as for what happened to it? either Sam got rid of it, she hid it away somewhere, or..... again - one of those unanswered questions ---

i think she was gonna give it to Jarod, so she may have located him and given it to him later -- dunno ----

i just remember that Bailey didn't like Jarod at first -- still not exactly sure what Bailey thinks of Jarod now ---

it's also possible that they(the writers) thought they could just do another crossover later and have sam give it to him then. not realizing sam wouldn't be on the show by then.

no - i don't think so -- the first x-over was in season 3, near the end - so they would have known that Walker was leaving and wouldn't return -- (tho, since Sam was in the 1st two eps of season 4, they might not have been sure) -- but i think the intention was that she didn't get to give it to him -- meaning that Jarod was keeping her at the same safe distance he kept MP and her gang --

the writers forgot about it - and thus, never used it again.

i would guess that Jarod never got that disk, and that either Sam still has it, gave it to someone she trusts to give it to Jarod, or she destroyed it, tho, i can't imagine why she would destroy it - after George did all that work -- maybe she gave it back to him --

Was thinking about this while posting in another thread here -

what do you think the Crossover episodes would have been like if, say, Mr. Lyle and Miss Parker had met up with the VCTF instead of Jarod?

For example, the 1st x-over had nothing to do w/ that 'Joshua' thing, but something else - and The Centre was tracking Jarod and bumped into the VCTF --- (this is really quick, so i don't have specifics in my head right now) --

then - this would have completely altered the 2nd x-over - let's say that much is the same as the actual aired episodes - how would it change? Bailey really wouldn't like Jarod - and would the VCTF call TC? or would Rachel talk Bailey out of it? telling him that those 'other people' were wrong and lied about Jarod? --


just ideas --- whaddya think????

i've thought about that too. what if both shows had continued, the first 2 meetings had gone exactly the way they had, and there was actually a third meeting. what if MP and Rachel crossed paths through unrelated circumstances and then found out that they each knew Jarod. or anyone else from the center for that matter. i think i would have been interesting to watch how the VCTF team would handle some one like Lyle. i think that would have been really cool.

well- i was thinking more along the lines of the 1st x-over going something like this:

MP and Co are at a site, searching for Jarod-clues; however, the VCTF also show up - called in on a strange case (could be murder, could be something else). MP and Lyle come up with a convincing story to explain away their presence, and agree to help the VCTF on the case if they can.

Bailey and Rachel would check into the backgrounds of the Centre staff - only to find that they all check out (Centre planted information, of course).

The case moves along and somewhere in there, Jarod starts helping the VCTF - maybe he plays 'anonymous' caller or 'confidential' informant to Sam - until Bailey and MP have a talk and she tells him all about Jarod (whom she's claiming is the criminal in this case) and Bailey discovers Sam's conversations with Jarod and declares Jarod the top suspect --

from there - i'm drawing a blank -- the VCTF chases Jarod, but somehow he convinces Bailey that he's not the criminal (probably by solving the crime himself) - tho Bailey's not wholly convinced of Jarod's innocence, he's forced to let him go b/c they now have the real criminal - and the Centre folks run off back to Delaware

As for the disk in the first X-over I beive it was nothing important just evidence that his Doyale alias was faked. Jarod has 80X george's computer skills. He has tapped into banks, wall street, and or course the Centre on more than one occasion. The point was for Jarod to appear more mysterous to Profiler viewer.

As for the 3rd X-over rantings stunt. Jarod was totally not himself. He has never been a one night stander and he always follows things through. Also we don't know how he found out the info he just left it on a note.

yeah, that was pretty much a last ditch effort at trying to get some ratings before they cancelled both shows

Yeah - there were some things about the 3rd piece - not really a crossover, more a Jarod cameo - that didn't make any sense -

yeah - I watched it, but I was very confused - esp since they had Jarod 'discover' something he had discovered in S1 Pretender - Pizza --- now, while he didn't eat it cold in TP, he did know what it was --- found out about it in 'Jaroldo' (IIRC) --

then the one-night stand bit and leaving her a note that revealed exactly what she needed? huh? that's just weird - esp since we didn't see him working through the problem ---

The episode, as an ep of Profiler, was quite well-done. Andrew Robinson was excellent, but the Jarod piece had something missing --

about the only thing they did right was have him 'disappear' the way he always does ---

but the 3rd one was the second time with Rachel right? so it wasn't exactly what you'd call a one night stand. i mean, it's hard to have a one night stand with some one you've already slept with.

He didn't sleep w/ Rachel in the 2nd x-over. I don't think -- (gonna have to watch it again) -

One-night stand bit aside -- wasn't he still involved with Zoe when he went to see Rachel? And if he wasn't - he was eventually - kind of weird for a guy like Jarod to do something like that -- (this is the part that really bugged me) --

It's not really his style - he's so emotional, I don't see him seeing 5 or 6 women at one time -- so, that's another 'out of character' bit to tack onto the list ----
