Hello again....
Sept 23, Gatecon Day 5: I got to the line-up at 7:35. (reporter found making zzzzzz's on the carpet by friends) Terrific day! We had panels with all of the actors in different combos. The first combo consisted of Gary Jones and Dan Shea. Both demonstrated their techniques of "going through the wormhole" if they should be lucky enough to have it written into the scripts.... Dan, of course, did a fancy "stunt" roll through the stage stargate prop and right onto the floor and into the audience! Gary just casually strolled through the gate, looked over his shoulder and said "Teal'c was just behind me!" And we had the explanation for why Gary's character doesn't have a name.... and why he is now going to be called "Harriman Davis". JR Bourne and Peter Williams joined Dan Shea and Gary Jones to auction off items that were left over from the night before.. stuffed Danny-cat, posters, pictures and DVDs. Another panel consisted of Tony Amendola, Jay Brazeau and Jay Avacone. And before lunch, we had the Production Crew panel, ie, props, set design, location manager, computer special effects, makeup and photography.
After lunch there were panels with Eric Avari/Alexis Cruz and Don S Davis/Teryl Rothery. The next panel had the writers and producers, Brad Wright, N. John Smith, J Mallozzi, P Mullie & Robert Cooper. A few VERY BIG spoilers were revealed... about characters, plots and season 6. Lots of *GASPING*ing occurred. (My lips are sealed! You will have to bribe and torture someone else for the info!!!) The finale was Peter Williams and JR Bourne.
And the wrap-up with Allan was very heart-felt and sincere!!! We clapped for the stage crew and other organizers! Kudos to all for a spectacular ***GATECON 2001***
