How Many System Lords Are There?

in seth jacob said 'thousands of goaulds dozens the rank of system lords' so...not a lot but, depending on your point of view, too many

There could be loads.
What with all the Egyptian gods/goddesses the writers haven't used yet.
Not to mention Greek, Norse, Celtic.... the list could go on!:D
 
In one episode there was this pyramid thingy that showed all the system lords, cant remember which one though :)

Was the episode you are referring to called Seth by any chance. When Jacob came and asked for their help to locate him he had a holographic image of the System Lord 'Family Tree'!

So we dont know how many System Lords there are ???
 
I believe that is an accurate assessment of the situation.
 
I just sort of decided 12 from the Egyptian and 12 from the Greek Parthenon = 24 , then decided to add another 24 to represent other Gods and Goddessess from other mythologies.:D
 
If you really wanna know, there'll be several websites that'll tell you pretty much up to date numbers of known major System Lords. Try www.scifiguide.net or something.
 
all the canon information we have is jacob saying 'dozens'

and not that this is a real spoiler but i've heard that two more will fall(be them goauld or system lords i don't know) before the beginning of stargate :TNG
 
I heard this new big bad System Lord was supposed to carry on through into Stargate : TNG?
