SG3 convention countdown

It is a mere 33 days until the Heathrow Stargate convention, and I'm getting pretty excited about the whole thing.

Anyone else as crazy as me for November the 2nd to arrive? :rolly2:

As you probably know, SG4 has been announced with Amanda Tapping and Michael Shanks as the guests and yep, I am utterly gutted that I cannot afford to attend that too, I just wanted to start the countdown to SG3 and so I can meet as many SG3 attendees as poss, so we can have a fab time with some great guests in November.

SG-4 is gunna be in London somewhere...yet to be anounced. It on the 1-3 ( I think) Feb 2002...and Micheal Shanks and Amanda Tapping are gunna be there.
I am going to both SG-3 and 4 so I hope to meet up with any of you guys going....it should be great fun..I can't wait for SG-3...not long now!

I haven't been to the hotel that SG3 is taking place at, so I don't know how many bars there is or where they are, but people, we should meet up! All those unlucky people who haven't got Cocktail party tickets (i missed out by about... oh. 80!) should meet up and invent some cocktails of our own to while away the hours.

Oh yeah, and I'm flying in to Heathrow on Friday lunchtime, so I want to get to the hotel asap. I have heard about the Hoppa bus, but seemingly it takes forever..? Anyone have any experience of getting the local bus, or a cab...? I don't wanna end up spending hours trying to get to the bloody place!

I have never been to that hotel either...but Im all up for your idea about meeting up and inventing our own cocktails...
Sorry I also have no clue about you getting there by cab or bus either...but hope it all works out for ya..so where are you flying in from?

Hi Chellie


There is a shuttle bus that you can get from Heathrow to the hotel. I think they run about every 30 mins or so. It's was £2.50 last year to use the bus, but it takes you right outside the hotel.

Got my tickets for SG-4 yesterday. Sorry had to put that one in.

I have got over my upset at not being able to attend SG4- I hope everyone who is going has a fab time, and you tell us all about it when you get back! I'm sure SG3 will be just as good.

If you're looking for me at SG3, I will be wearing some nifty camouflage cropped pants, with personalised t-shirts featuring Stargate scenes and oodles of sequins- I've been very busy since February when I got my tickets! :hjbigeyes

Nah I don't think I will be wearing any crazy clothing...but I will be the one hiding in the corner (im kinda shy) or chained to the bar :evil:

Aphrodite, I know, it would be so great if he'd just come, even for 10mins! It would be so cool. He doesn't even go to the Gatecon's, and they're in the same town, so I doubt he'll come to London. But... you never know, he might just be "passing" through.

I used to be quite shy too- even though I seem to be wearing outrageous clothing! But since I realised I don't really care what people think when they see me walking down the street with a huge Stargate on my tshirt, then I open up.

The only thing I don't do is DANCE! My friend loves to dance, so I know she'll make me, but I feel like such a fool!! :clown:

I don't think Wolf has released where it is taking place yet... but I think it will be London, which is a shame because it's a long and expensive journey for me to get there!

They usually have the Star Trek cons in Blackpool..not SG ones...maybe one day..:coolyello :coolyello
