I just realized (at work, where one has nothing better to do than think about Farscape ;)) that I really love some of Chaina's moments. She's had a bunch of really great ones, so I thought I'd try to get a dialogue started on her best so far. :D

My personal favorite (and you can probably see what kind of a person I am by this choice) is in Liars, Guns, and Money when Stark is introducing his plan and Chiana exclaims, "Are we gonna rob a bank?" then grins excitedly at Stark's "Yes." :upto:

What are your favorite Chi moments?

Oh lerac make sure the quarters are cofertable ...its getting.....hot in here.....

she plays a very cool part in this one i was totaly impress they way she pulls it off.

Yeah, I found myself re-analyzing her motives... did she really want to earn her keep? Did she really want to help?

By this point, after the events of TTLG, I think she is beginning to feel like part of the family and genuinely wants to help... even Aeryn. :upto:

Remember how much actual 'snurching' she does even after this, though. She may be part of the family, but she still a thieving little trelk :aliengray :D

And we still love her! PkGrl

She just has this wiered way of standing . the way she reacts . its likes shes a cat . waiting to pounce on her pray.. if u just sit back and watch her movements u will see what i mean

Yeah, but that's all Gigi. She wanted to be and alien and move like one, so she developed this whole thing. I think that's what kept Chiana alive as a character on the show. The producers were going to kill off Chiana in DR , but were so impressed with Gigi, they changed the script and just had Durka wing her instead. I think the amount of work she put into how this character behaved/acted/moved/emoted is what kept Gigi's job. :D

I remember DK and Rock both saying that they only wanted to hang on to those guest stars that impressed them, and I think that's what Gig managed to do.

Good for her... good for D'Argo :naughty:... good for us, too. :D You can see in some of the eps after DR that Chiana's part was kind of added in like an afterthought, especially in AHR, and even in TTLG where she just kind of tags along with JC, but does very little otherwise.

Not until Nerve does she really try to deserve merit on her own, and even that could have been added later (but very well). She does very little in Bone to Be Wild, but begins to be very much the little sister to John's big brother in Family Ties. :blah:

Frell, but I'm going on and on about Chi. Good thing this is the right forum for it! :D

i couldnt agree more . and yeah just aswel u posted to the right section ..
i never knew they were to kill gigi off. wow ..

I didn't know they were going to kill her off either

well good work on the writer's parts :D:D

Okay, people, let's get this straight. In the original script, Chiana was supposed to be killed, not Gigi.

No one was going to kill Gigi... she's just too cute.

Anyway, that's the scoop on that. Just think how things would have turned out over the course of the last two years if Chiana had died. :(

How boring!

And Chiana was the catalist for some eps, including HOTR and PIYW.

with . jool replacing Zhann .. do u think threy will add more . part timers to the show . like the crazzy stark !!
i think a new face .. will do some good .. obvisoly jool is new . but we expected a replacement .. well i did any way .
i think either another human .. or a peacekeeper .. some interesting storys can come of that ,,,

I doubt another human would show up, at least not for another year or more. The writers are still trying to deal with the here and now...

Remember that each season has had its own theme:
season one, Crichton was just trying to stay alive, to learn to cope
season two, Crichton was going nuts, trying to figure out what was going on in his head and trying to get the chip out
season three, Crichton is trying to protect Earth, that's the overall theme, so he needs to stop Scorpy (and the Scarrans and anyone else who might try to get wormhole tech).
This is what the writers had focused on this season, so that's probably the main plot line of the final four.
If they are planning on introducing new characters to Moya or Talyn, they might go with someone from a new species or some other non-human, but it would be too soon to introduce another human and the implications that would create. IE how'd he/she get there? Was it another wormhole? If so, is it closed? Is it stable? Can John get home?

I think next season will have a new theme and the writers will move away from the whole worm hole thing, at least for a while.

Damn, I ramble on when I'm hungry...

very true .. pk .. but . i was thinking . about kemper .. hes done DEATH . so hes got to think of a nother story line ...
what do u all think will be the next plot or story line to season 4 ???

I wouldn't even try to guess what the theme of season 4 would be. It wouldn't matter, because if I could guess correctly, I wouldn't know I was right until far into the season. DK is really good at getting to a point without doing it in any way that we will see... he knows where the story needs to go eventually, but how we get there is anyone's guess, even his.

I'm more like D'Argo in that I'd rather not know the future... what if it sucks? Then I'd have no hope of something better.

I wouldn't mind a hint from one of the PTB, but no more than a couple words.

I don't mind this show surprising me, even in bad ways. After all, it is "only" a show. I just don't like having to wait so bloody long to get my answers.

BTW, just re-watched the LATP trilogy, and Chi has some really great lines in there, especially re: relationships (advice for John and Aeryn).

Loved D'Argo's Batman save of her, too. ;)

So far, I think my favorite Chiana moment was in SIW: Part 2. When Jool is trying to get her to slow down and Chaina says that's not the way things work around there. To me, I think that's when she first acted like she was really one of the crew.
