I never really liked the tv series always looked to blah to me but the trailer for the film was on the Peter Pan dvd and to tell the truth it doesnt look half bad

So will you be looking forward to seeing it or will you be the patient sort and wait for it to be released on to rental?

I've seen the trailer, and the idea that a kid is left to save the Thunderbirds is just...sickly.

As kids we loved the series for what it was - Thunderbirds using their ingenuity to save people. The idea of making a film where it's all about a kids saving the thunderbirds...that's like making a first film about a superhero, but where the superhero is sick and injured throughout most of the movie. Where's the sense in that? :(

They could've made the film in such a way that the entire family could love it - and the grown-ups reminded of why they liked the original stringy puppets version. But the trailer suggests that it's a definite pre-teen market being aimed for.

Somehow, in all that CGI recreation of the ships, I think someone may have forgotten what Thunderbirds was actually about.

Or maybe I'm just being unnecessarily cynical.
