Having just watched the Othala scene from "The Fifth Race", do the Asgard have thumbs?

If not, how on planet have they managed with an opposable digit?

they woo people like O'Neill with promises of new technology but as soon as they get back to the homeworld they're on 24 hour dishwashing duty (or other sorts of jobs needing opposable thumbs). What do you think the 'Asgard protected worlds like Cimmeria were for??

If they do what? Have thumbs, or protect worlds like Cimmeria?

thumbs, do they??? i aint got any pics of their hands and i cant b stuffed going thru my vid collection to find out, lol

i would think they would need thumbs. I mean without a thumb you couldn't hold a fork, KKnife, Pencil, crayon, Pop can, almost anything.

The Asgard might have telekinetic powers or extreme magnetism. maybe they lost their thumbs after they already had machines to take their place.

Or maybe it's because of the generations of cloning that's been going on with the Asgard -> remember the Season 5 finale?

Having now seen the Season 5 finale, it gets more puzzling - since the Asgard shown in it have very clearly GOT thumbs! :alienooh:  :alienooh:

Time to go through EVERY episode with those little green men and try to spot a pattern... ;)

The Asgards have been cloned for thousands of years. The original Asgard PROBABLY had thumbs, and because of the generations of cloning, they lost the tumbs

yes - but if you read my post, the ones in "Revelations" DO have thumbs - Heimdall etc., i.e. "modern" Asgard. It may have just been a blip in "Fifth Race".

The perfect host for a schizophrenic paranoid, delusional, arrogant and domineering power-crazed Goa'uld. ;)

Though obviously many eminent politicians would also be suitable on that basis...:rolly2: :D  :D :rolly2:
