A new thread for me and Shelbs and Shaz (when she gets back) :D :D :D :D :D

On Tuesday, 9 October, Channel 7 are showing "Macgyver - Lost Treasure of Atlantis" described in the SMH as "An archeology professor searches for artifacts of Zenon, an ancient scientist from Atlantis and the city of Atlantis itself. Richard Dean Anderson."

It's the midday movie.

And it was made in 1997 - the same year Stargate started production - so RDA will be gorgeous, of course :D Haven't seen any Macgyver.



And we're videoing ......................... :D :D :D

It says in our TV guide that we've got some crappy Shannon Doherty movie called 'Sleeping with the Enemy'. This isn't fair.

I just found a piccy of RDA from Atlantis.
If you can get past the horrible long hair, he actually looks quite cute.

did u know kasuf (Eric Avari) is in The Mummy?

Catherine (dunno from memory) is in Dante's Peak (She get her legs burnt in lava :evil:)

and Samuels (dunno from memory) is in the midday movie last week called "Taken Away"

i checked my local tv guide this morning..and we have the macgyver movie on @ midday today :D
 
the movie's on, the tape's rolling AND the ads contain the promo for The Light................ RDA in the movie and during the ad breaks - double RDA!!!!!

BTW, he is pretty cute even WITH the hair. Actually, the hair isn't too bad. RDA was 46 or 47 when he made this movie and *sigh* the man is gorgeous

i just finished watcing it, wasnt too bad. Except the end was a bit unbelievable but still, mentioned Cronos in it :)

Not necessarily. I think he has got heaps better looking as he's got older. I don't really fancy him in his earlier Macgyver long haired look. Give me a 50 year old RDA playing a USAF colonel any day

BTW: Turns out it was on here in Canberra, but I was out when it was on. i was a Floriade with some friends and mum rings me up and tells me it's on. I told her it wa okay cos josh was taping it. :)

I managed to catch some of the end. It was kinda weird and I didn't understand it, but RDA was on screen adn that was all that mattered.

Question:
So, now that you've all seen your first MacGyver movie, what was it like? I mean character-wise, is Jack anything like Mac or vise-versa? Who's better? (yeah, like i have to ask that ;) )
 
first macguyver movie? i think not!! i've watched plenty of him before not to mention his series :D

yeah not too bad, the ending was extremely weird but im glad i watched it. Macguyver always saves the day
 
It was my first Macgyver anything - movie or TV show.

But I only watched the bit at the beginning as I had to go out while it was on. besides I couldn't have watched it because of work. I'll watch it on the weekend probably.

BTW, Pete was ABSOLUTELY appalled that I'd taped it. MACGYVER!!!!!!! He reckons I'm turning into Patty and Selma who kept drooling over RDA as Macgyver all the way through the Simpsons. Doesn't do my cause any good :D

Also, Shelbs, in Tuesday's SMH on the second last page where they have the TV schedule there is a little picture of RDA (as Jack) next to the listing for the movie. Very nice :D :D :D

Ugh! What a choice! They're both hairy-legged, chain-smoking, gravel-voiced women (?) of unpleasant demeanour. I hope we're not so desparate as to be either of them :dead: :dead: :dead:
