Small Victories

Hey all,
I know that SV was probably on about three months ago where you guys are, but I'd like to know what you thought about it. Personally I loved it, and think it was a great opener to S4. The one liners were great as well:
"Would it be nesscessary for me to mention my INSANE aversion to bugs at this time?"
"Teal'c, you've got a..." "Don't touch it!"
"It was your stupid idea, Major Carter."

What did you think?

Hey Rap,
Actually we saw Small Victories in about December last year. I really enjoyed it though. It was a good follow up to Nemesis. I liked the bit in Sam's lab where Jack is trying to get her to go finshing again and also the bit where they come back and Daniel motions towards Teal'c's catapiller.
It was really funny.

It was on last night for me aswell, and I also loved it. Some of the best lines were at the start (about showering ) and at the end (with Jack trying to get Thor to come fishing). I also really liked Daniels reactions to not being able to help.

So which half of the two-parter did you think was better: Nemesis, or Small Victories?Personally, I think SV was the best... because it had the O'Neill! What next? The Hammond?
The only part where I was let down was when we saw the O'Neill being chased into hyperspace by the Replicator ships. I would have liked it a bit more if you actually saw this in 'real life', instead on on the Asgard CG thingummy. But I guess the Mother Bug made up for it.

SV had more angst what with Jack and Teal'c being trapped in the sub while the bugs were after them and shutting off all escape routes.

I know that I knew they'd get out but with Nemesis I just knew all the more that there would be a big twist at the end which would save Jack, Teal'c and Sam. If you know what I mean

And I liked Daniel's and Davis's angst at watching Jack and Teal'c on a monitor and not being able to help and then having to give the order for the Dallas to fire on the Russian sub.

I liked Nemesis much more than SV. Although both were really great with lots of angst, I think that Nemesis was more exciting. It was the first time we ever saw the Replicators and it had the Asgard in it. Bonus. I really like jack's relationship with Thor. Also the special effects were great. Teal'c and Sam were fantastic in it and even though we didn't see much Danny, it was still a good show. I loved the way they commandeered the Stargate to escape. Cat also knows the other reason why I love this ep so much (RE: Jack's Best Outfit thread).

SV was good for an Earth based ep. I liked the idea of the team being split up in different places but still all working together. I loved 'The O'Neill'.

is it just me ... or does Season 4 seem to be on Earth so much more than off world?

Yeah, that's definetly true. They do seem to be alot more on Earth for Season 4. I got a bit sick of them being on Earth for a few episodes there. But I think Exodus made up for that.

Yeah, I can't wait for the preview. I wonder what they'll do with it. If it's anything like the season preview was I think it'll be awesome.

yes...hmmm i wonder if they'll like say "the season final of stargate - next week'" or something like that.

btw i called 7 sydney yesterday and they told me "they could not say if season 5 of stargate is gonna follow seaon 4"

It sounds to me like S5 is on Earth quite a lot as well. But Wormhole X-treme will make up for that, I hope. I've only seen 501, Enemies, but that was good. I just hope that the rest is as good, if not better.
Oh... and The Other Side is on tonight! But I've already seen it on asf. But it'll look much better on TV ( Sorry. I was reliving that Simpsons episode with the evil Krusty doll. "But you get your free choice of topping!")
