I was wondering if there was anyway to get those videos that intorduced each of the characters in a kind of music video style (Tealc's was great) that where shown at Sekh's Party on DVD or something.

Also The cast panels that were taped, when will those be available, or did I already miss my chance?

The convention video will be ready around late november/mid december.

Because we had an extra day this year, plus an extra video camera, I have well over 30 ours of video to edit into a 3 hour documentary.

We will make an announcement once the video is ready.

Thanks, will they be available also on DVD? I do not have a VCR anymore, I only have a DVD player, alot of people are switching to that format, or at least have both. I know those that have both would prefer the DVD format if it would be available. Also any info on those videos from the party?

I am actually looking into getting the documentary on DVD, although because we only do a relatively short run, it could make them fairly expensive... But I will let you know.

Not sure about the video's from the party, You would be better to contack Sehk about those.

SEKH'S PARTY MUSIC VIDS BY AVALON
Taped in SP. Two hours worth of vids per tape. Just over 1 hour's worth of Stargate vids. The other hour will be "bonus" vids from assorted other genres (mainly sci-fi and fantasy). Sorry, I can only do NTSC so if you live in Europe or Australia (and Japan?) you will need to be able to convert the tape to PAL.

COST: (this covers the cost of the tape, envelope, shipping etc., plus a couple of dollars for wear and tear on my vcrs...and my nerves! <gr>).

Within Canada or the US -- $15 CDN or $10 US.
International - $18 CDN or $12 US

SHIPPING METHOD: regular surface mail. I'd be happy to send the tape air mail or to register it, but the cost would increase. Given the state of the mail system lately this might be something you'd like to consider. Please indicate below the method you would like it shipped. If it is anything other than surface mail I will contact you and let you know how much more it will cost. I will ship the tapes once I receive payment. (Note - the surface mail vs air mail option only applies to countries outside Canada. As I understand it, all parcels within Canada go by air).

METHOD OF PAYMENT: Sorry, I don't do Paypal. Cheque or money order in Canadian or US funds is fine. I could also accept a money order Pounds Sterling. If you wish to use another currency please contact me.

DELIVERY TIME: Depending on how many requests I receive it could take several weeks to get everything done. I will keep people updated on how things are going and let you know when I mail your tape. Please let me know when you receive it. Oh, and feedback of any kind is always gratefully appreciated! As for the mailing time - well, in the past surface mail to the States used to take about 3-4 weeks. But who knows?

Gatecon just wondering if there was any status on that 3 hour documentry at all? I'm guessing it's taking longer than anticipated, any idea when we might see it?

I will be sending the completed videos to be duplicated in the USA and UK at the end of this week.

And yes, it did take a lot longer than expected... A few unforseen problems, but I can tell you that it looks great. I even surprised myself

Great, any rough idea on how long they might be before they can be purchased? Also were you able to get Erick Avari's prayer to NY he spoke in ancient egyptian on there? I hope you were able to fit it. It was very moving!

My time off wasn't exactly the holiday from hell, but it wasn't exactly one to remember either.

Also, on the video, I got the bit where JR rings his sister..... Boy, that was fun !!!! I had to transcript the whose section because you can't always hear what his sister said... So it's all subtitled.

Great! I got to heatr a lot of it as I was 'Hosting' Colin at the time and was snugged in close to the stage. That entire time with JR and then JR and Colin was priceless.

Hey Allan will you be able to get this thing on DVD too? I don't have a DVD burner myself, and I haven't had a VHS player for a few years now. If it costs extra thats fine, I just can't order it any other way!

Unfortunately the DVD isn't an option for us at the moment.

They are very expensive to produce, and we simply don't have the funds to outlay to get them done.

I would love to see it on DVD (actually I'd love to own a DVD player !!!!).. Possibly it is something we can look at later down the track.

allan mate...you really need a dvd player....DVD rocks!

gatecon on DVD would be awesome..although then you would have to deal with the whole region coding, filming in widescreen etc.. would be very expensive!

Just make it Region 0 which means you can play it on all dvd players

I actually edit in a slightly wider screen size than normal 4:3 format... And although it's not real widescreen, it would be suited to DVD.

I would love to be able to get the money together to do it to DVD, and it's quite easy to get different regional copies made.

There are two tapes, both 90 minutes in length.

There are some really great backstage interviews done with the stars that people didn't get to see at the con, and also some attendees were interviewed as well.
