SG3 in review

Well, having just got back from SG3, I thought I'd share my opinions of the event.

IT WAS GREAT! :rolly2:

I was a little disheartened when I first found out the guest list, but I wouldn't havent' changed them at all.

The photo and autographs sessions were a little disorganised, but if you waited long enough you weren't disappointed.

I heard that the Photograph sessions were quite well organised and that it went rather smoothly in about groups of 25 peeps at a time.

Hi,

I have to say that my experience with the autographs and photos were both very good. I was in the Sunday morning photo session and that finished on schedule. I know the autograph sessions can result in a lot of waiting around whilst your number is called, but I would rather that, then not have the opportunity to get an autograph at all.

The con was good. The guests were good. I felt for Vaitiare Bandera on the Saturday as she seemed to struggle, and wondered how she would cope on her own on the Sunday but on the whole she coped pretty well that day considering that it was her first convention. She is even prettier in person too and seemed genuinely nice.

I did not like the fact that you had to walk to the microphones on either side of the rooms to ask questions as I felt that, if someone wanted to ask a question but were a bit on the reserved side, it made the process too intimidating. I am sure that the organisers had their reasons, but it seemed like a bad idea to me. :blush: :rolly2:

I went to the photo session ( I had mine taken with Don) and I thought it was great..we were called and not long after we had our photo taken...we did have to wait a while but Don was entertaining everyone while we waited.
Overall I thought the con was good...some parts could have been done better but it was good and I had loads of fun.
The best parts had to be meeting all the fab people that were there. You get to meet some real interesting characters (like Jimmy )
Although we did have to wait for around three hours for the actors to do the signing....it was well worth it in the end to get a hug and a kiss from Don on the way out.
Im sure I have more tails to tell but Im real tired at the moment.

BTW Chellie: did you get to have your autographs in the end???

Oh and I forgot to say...the guests were fabulous.
Don Davis and Tony Amendola were the best two...they were worth going for.
Alexis Cruz I thought was a little shy but he was very cute.
I didn't get to see too much of Vaitiare Bandera or Frida Betrani and Jay Acovone was a little unusual...

Hello Michelle.

John from the Wolf boards here.
Well I had a fun time at the convention and it seemed to be very well run with only a short delay(except with the autos but that happens at every one).

The guests were well they all were great and funny Jay and Don were a couple of loons. later on the evening people got into full swing with the party. Compared to previous cons i'd been to it seemed a bit subdued though but was fun nonetheless.

Well it was nice to meet a few of you people.
Sorry for my lateness and shyness to speak to you sooner but there you go, didnt see you on sunday so couldnt say bye, hope to see you guys at another event in the future.

Are you still hyper like me from SG3? I keep looking at the picture of Don and me and I laugh every time! He was so funny- I didn't think he'd be anything like that:blush:

Pamie: Yep I got my autographs. Brian and the stewards let us hop to the front of the queue and I managed to get round everyone to sign the front of my programme
I was really pleased with that.

John: You've moved boards and joined us nutters over here? well welcome it's great at ascifi.com- you get to use great little icons.

i'm hoping Wolf will do an SG5 'cos I'll be there, so I hope to see you all then. :rolly2:

Oh I do the same...I keep looking at my picture of Don and I and it makes me smile...Im so glad I did the photo thing now

Chellie...Im so glad you got your stuff signed...it was worth it in the end

John....I think we meet for a short while on Friday night?? Anyway Im glad that you found you way over here from the wolf boards...Im going to SG4..so I hope to catch up with you then.
If not then hope to see you a lot more around here
