Hi,

Okay, two questions:

1. Who wants 'Hathor' to show up again in the series ?

2. Who wants to see Suanne Braun (actress portraying 'Hathor') at a convention ?

P.S. In regards to question one I remember that her last appearance, in Season 3's 'Into The Fire' had her character being thrown into a vat of fressing chemicals so I must assume that she was frozen alive....and could be found & thawed out.......

Hathor was a very good goddess and it would be cool if she would be "resurrected" ...
and there is a good chance to resurrect her 'cos she's only frozen in ice ...

there r less stargate conventions near austria (the nearest was in germany - Nexuscon - and perhaps i'll visit NexusCon 6) ...
would be quite interesting if she would be there ..

I think it would be great to see Hathor back...

But seeing Suanna Braun at a convention wouldnt really be very interesting....she's only been in 2 or 3 episodes....it might be a bit boring...I dunno!

BOBW 14

Hi,

It's official now,

Suanne Braun (aka Hathor) to appear at her first official convention appearance in the world, in Sydney Australia for BOBW 14- February 1st-3rd 2002. (www.bobw.com.au)

Also appearing as guests are Don S. Davis (General Hammond), Colin Cunningham (Major Davis) and Professor Chris Illert.

Interms of female characters from the show Hathor is in the top three. As for Suanne Braun her pictures show her to be totally stunning. Additionally she had alot of threater work and conference-hosting work, so she should be a natural at conventions.


As for the previous posting, well it obviously comes from a female fan who can't see the attraction......

It rather seems to me that you could bring on the guy who brings in the coffee and donuts on the Stargate set to a convention and everyone would be enthralled!

No offence meant to Suann Braun who is a fellow South African and who made an excellently sleazy Hathor!!!

These conventions rather remind me of a British made spoof..... may have been Monty Python where they did a 'take off' of one of these gratituitous, let's pat ourselves on the back and give each other a huge tacky looking award, Awards Ceremonies. I think it was Monty Python decided to have as a guest host, David Niven's fridge! (For those of a young age, David Niven was a rather excellent British, but primarily Hollywood-based star in the forties, fifties and sixties!).

And perhaps everyone should take a look at the film Galaxy Quest which made me fall off the sofa and choke on my coffee when I realised that it was about a bunch of actors from a has been Sci Fi show, doing the convention runs and living on past glory. It showed a convention and some of the fans, and having been to two of these conventions, I wept with laughter over the startling similarity!

Suann Braun? Even as a fellow female I acknowledge that she is a beautiful woman indeed.... and well worth the male fans having a good look since they are generally badly catered for at these events!

Yeah thats very true...

Im sure she will be great at the convention.

I went to my first convention this year and the guests that I was looking forward to seeing I was a little disapointed with...and the ones that I was not fussed about turned out to be the good ones.
I guess you never can tell!

I'm not sure that Suann Braun would appreciate that. SHE is just an actress and no more or less evil than the rest of us humans.....

And we are ALL capable of good and evil. There are two sides to all of us...... I didn't think Hathor was evil. I thought she was a cool, beautiful, scheming creature who knew what she wanted!

I've met a few humans with exactly the same characteristics.

Chilly..... I don't know how old you are, but in my fairly long 50 years experience with life, I don't know a man alive who wouldn't have trouble turning down a woman as beautiful as that, whether she was scheming or not.

Men aren't generally noted for their perceptiveness when it comes to a knee jerk sexual reaction!!

As to whether it was fair or not..... have you ever heard the saying

Two distinct and mutually exclusive sides to the resulting argument:

a) yes she can be
1)she IS a goa'uld, a species which can definitely be revived after death using a sarcophagus
2) they are always finding clever ways to bring back popular characters

b) no she can't:
1) we already know the goa'uld symbiotes die when frozen - (and Jack stays human!)
2) the freezing process needs to be regulated by the coffin thing, she was just dumped in head-first
3) there was no-one on her side left to save her, they were all under attack, arrested or already dead
