So What do you Think of NIC

What does everyone think of Narcissus In Chains. I haven't finished it yet, but so far, I like it pretty well. Like LKHs other more recent books, it is in desperate need of some harsher editing, but I do love the style. I was also going into Jean-Claude withdrawal, so having him back and prominent is a good thing.

What: NIC- Narcissus in Chains, the latest Anita Blake novel. I think it came out sometime in September, but I could be wrong. It's available in the US at any major book chain. I'm not sure about it's availability internationally.

Love Narcissus in Chains, I also was in Jean-Claude withdrawal. Well, it was great as always. I totally love the Anita Blake series. For me it was sad how Richard and Anita ends in this book. At first I always want Anita to end with Jean-Claude but begin liking Richard. So for me in this book Micah was an intruder. Specially since he takes Richard's place with Anita and Jean-Claude trio. But I'm sure we'll see more of Richard because of the triumvirate between the three.

I thought it was rather cluttered, and disjointed. Too much of the power going to Anita's head, not enough detail in the new characters and the actual case/plot of the book.

Yeah, that is a good point, one of the things that I sort of miss, is the first books interest of Anita to maintain her humanity. Here she have let go and have accepted more her "monster side" the way she have put it before. I totally enjoy her powers but will love to see her maintain her humanity side also. In this book you could say she lost control of it.
