help required from the UK!!! please help!

Hi Everyone!

I am hoping that someone may be able to help us.

Just wanted to know if you could give me a little help. I have only fairly recently become a stargate fan, (and am now in the process of buying all the vids). However, it has come to my attention that SKY ONE are screwing up again. It appears they are showing repeats at 6am and 6pm on Sky one (series 4) but they keep missing eps out!!!! This is bloody annoying to say the least. I mean for cryin' out loud, if they can't show the series in its entirety then they shouldn't show it at all. !!A nd some of the eps they are missing out are pivitol to the whole Stargate story!!

I was hoping that if many of us made a fuss, they may reconsider it next time. (It worked with the UK channel 4 and the angel campaign - we got their attention anyway). And it will show that there are alot of dedicated fans out there that CARE!!!!

Please help support STARGATE from being ruined. I enclose the link to which they have a feedback form, and if you wouldn't mind spreading the word and sending it not only to the "sky one" feedback form but on the feedback form dropdown box, there is also an option to send it to the entertainment editor as well.

SG-1 in UK

Good luck, Bells. I know how maddening it was for me when I first found SG-1. Showtime was in S2 and syndication was S1 and they had nothing in order. It wasn't until they started S3 that I finially saw a very pivitol episode 'Serpent's Lair'.

After haveing heard people refer to it for months, I was ready to lose my mind.

And this was here in the States. :(

Although I shall be slightly annoyed if they end up cutting eps like Entity and "the light" out!!!!!! (It sounds like they are really good eps)

Welcome Bells.

We have a lot of UK people here... You might want to post this thread in the European section, also!
I had Showtime and saw the Season 1 repeats in syndication.... but LA's syndication was a little better than Rowan's but not much!

Hope you get SKYONE straightened out!
 
really need Sky one sorted out. they messed up the showing of Andromeda well:mad: :mad:
 
Yeah really bugs me too.
I was following season 2 on Sky and I think they showed them all, then it gets to the season finale, and suddenly we are seeing the first ep of season 4!
I'm buying season 4 on dvd!!!!
I havent seen all of season 3 yet!!!!
And twice now I have seen the conclusion of the end of season 3 cliffhanger, would be really nice to see the first part!
Oh well I suppose C4 are showing it but thats only once a week, I was looking forwrd to catching up with the whole season in just a couple of weeks on sky.
And why cant they show season 1 again.
Its not available to buy here and I havent seen many of those eps:crying:
Sky probably wont do anything about it tho, they will be changing all the schedule for christmas shows soon and usual stuff gets abandoned. We can live in hope that maybe they will start from the beginning and show all the seasons IN ORDER once season 5 has finished.
Heres hoping!
 
i already have all the eps from sg1archive, but when i was watching s2 on uk tv, channel 4, they REALLY messed it up. i hate em 4 it!!1

yeah but every1 hates Channel 4. they mess up angel as well. and cut bits out. stupid t.v!
 
Channel 4 had to cut bits out of Angel episodes because on sky 1, Angel was shown at 9pm - AFTER the watershed.
On C4, it was shown at about 6 I think, which is before the watershed and lots of lil kiddies r still awake and watching tv, so they had to cut out swears, blood and gore to protect their innocent eyes.

I am collecting the box sets so it's no bother to me tho!

I recieved a reply from my email to Sky One.
They say that channel 4 currently holds the rights to season 3 which prevented them from showing it and that they deliberately missed out 2 eps in the repeats of season 4 so that they can complete the series before christmas. The rest of the series should be shown in order tho.
They also say that currently they have no plans to repeat season 1:(

Erm........sort of??!!

Firstly sky decide to show fail safe before showing the two parter " Summit!!" (certain things were said in failsafe that made no sense whatsoever as this should have been shown after Summit)

Then they show Summit part one on Weds Dec 19th, and decide not to play the second part until January the 9th!!!!!!! Instead they decided to show a 2 hr special of Mutant X - (don't ask me why......)

Anyway....so yes everythings hunky dory ...thanks for asking!!!

I'm going to sulk now....
