"Robots In Disguise"...

Okay, this dub is just plane bad. It's bad enough that the show visually tries to be like the origional, Generation 1 Transformers series, but the changes made for the English dub are the icing on the bitter cake.

First of all, they made the lead Autobot look almost exactly like Optomis Prime from G1. Then the American dubb comes along and actually changes his name to Optomis Prime! For those of you who don't know, the "Optomis" in the new series is named "Super Fire Convoy". He is not an incarnation/version/relative of the origional Optomis Prime, nor is he(story-wise)directly connected to Optomis in any way.

This lil trick was also applied to "Megatron", or as his real name is, "Gigatron". No, he's not the latest Transformer to inherit the name of Megatron. He, like Fire Convoy, is completly seperate from all that.

Now we come to "Scourge". He's the one that looks like a black version of the origional G1 Optomis Prime. His actual name is something along the lines of "Black Convoy". Simple, no? How the dubbers got "Scourge" out of that is beyond me.

Some names were actually kept the same, and others only changed minimally(ex, "Skybite" is really "Skyshark").

...the only other major name change I'm upset with is the title itself. It is not called "Robots In Disguise", it's called "Car Robots".

meh Transformes is just baaaad!it keeps me entertained but its just horrible in my mind...they did a horrible job on the translations...the storys good...if your a 10 year old boy...

also i have been unable to watch the episodes for a while but with programmes like winmx i might be able to get a couple

Alright time for me to speak. (Poor Meaghan). The episodes are MEANT to be for 10 yr old boys, not for people over 15. It might seem stupid for you but it sells. If you don't like it, (like me) we should just watch something else.

i am a seventeen year old british male and i am PROED to say that i like Star Trek. I am PROUD to say that i like Transformers Toy's and Episodes (I collect the toys) and I am PROUD to say that I have series one of The Transformers on DVD along with the Movie. They are cool and if the new Transformers was of the same quality as the old ones then it would beat beyblades or pokemon or anything else to the floor with its arms behind its back and its optic sensors ofline (eyes closed in other words. i went to a site to look for new words)
if the makers of robots in disguise and Armada paid attention they would be making a lot more money

yeh same with beast wars and Transformers Armarda is supposed to be pretty rubbish aswell from what i read on a link from a site i visit occasionaly.

lol, i tend to steer awa from official, or close to official anime sites. They always have some way of selling merchnadise and ads evrywhere
