name formality?

Just something that has been nagging at my brain. Has anyone else noticed how when Sam was Captin, Jack always addressed her as Captin & since she became Major he addresses her as Carter. Is this just couse they know eachother better than when the team was first formed? Should he be addressing her as Major...may stop him from having inpure thoughs, our old Jackie boy.

Myself I think it's partly because they know each other better, and partly they're closer in rank.

and I guess if you can refer to Daniel as dannie boy, Carter really isn't so bad . . . probably wouldn't be a good idea to call Teal'c anything but Teal'c.

i noticed that ppl that DON'T know teal'c very well, refer to him as "the jaffa" but thats only ppl like maybourne and makepeace.


also, there's martouf and jack's term of indearment : "marty"!!!

Personally, I thought she was being polite.... I have an entirely different name for him.
