on the show the DHD does not have enoph room for all the glyphs if the lines are attached, witch they are, so one glyph is always missing, on a real DHD (if there were any) on witch loop would the extra glyph be?? inner or outer??:eek7:

Me, I personnaly think it should be on the outer.
Any other strange facts about the "DHD?"

yeah, i noticed that!

it has always been one glyph short, but i think that is the entire design of the dhd,

also the only different glyph is the point of origin, as this changes for every planet you go to...

was there a DHD in the film? it sounds stupid, but i really can't remember...
 
ya know - i don't remember if there was one in the movie or not --- b/c they don't show them 'dialing' the gate to go back to Earth -

but, i do know that in CoTG - Sam says 'this is what was missing from the dig in Giza. it took us x (no of yrs - i don't remember the number) and 3 supercomputers to MacGyver a system to make the gate work' (or something very similar to that) -- however - the rest of the SGC guys just walked around like it was nothing new - so, if it WAS in the movie -- it matches, if it WASN'T - O'Neill didn't seem to notice - ;)

thinking about it tho - i don't think there was a DHD in the movie b/c the transport rings came down w/ Apophis right about where the DHD is in the show ---- but - i might have missed it ----
