I enjoyed this ep. it wasn't overly exciting but then again we just had the seasn opener. Good to see a "Carter" ep.
Few things I thought about...
a) Why does Sam have such a big house and she lives by herself?
b) Was something cooking on the stove when Orlin first appears to her in the kitchen, cos there was all this steam in the background?
c) Why was Jack being such a jerk in this episode?
d) How did Reynolds become a Colonel, last time we saw him in Touchstone he was a Major.

Loved Sam's car. That girl has got class.
John de Lance was also good in this ep.
More after I get around to watching it again....

Remember the Curiosity Show everyone (well, us old farts anyway)

I'm Glad you asked !!!

Amanda talked about this at ... Where else but GATECON !!!!! ... She had the same question... but her answer was.... It's Jacobs old house (Y'know... her daddy), and she moved in there after he left to join the Tok'ra.

Although... My thoughts here... I'm sure that in the ep Tok'ra 1 or 2, that it was said that Jacob bought an apartment close to Sam... Not a house.

I suppose we will never really know !

(God Cat, I had to edit this post 3 times to get the spelling of 'Remember' right)

Glad to see I'm having an effect, Allan :D :D :D

Maybe the steam in the background was the kettle. Maybe she was about to have a cup of tea. Canadians drink tea.

Or she was going to steam open some-one else's mail

Or steam her face ..... you know open up those pores

Or she felt a cold coming on and was going to open up the nasal cavities

Or the air was a bit dry (because it was cold) and she was humidifying the air

But, on a more serious note, I really enjoyed this ep. I think Jack is doing a really good job at controlling whatever feelings he has for Sam. The shippers must have got a bit upset about this ep.

Yeah, I agree Cat, especially the scene with the pizza, he didn't show how disappointed he was.
You gotta love the bit about the jelly wrestling. I read a fan fic about what happens and it was hilarious.

I watched it again and you are right Cat, it is a kettle.

Thanks for the info Allan, and I also re-call him talking abut an apartment, but I guess that dosn't mean he sold the house.

This ep has really struck it with me, its equal first in the hall of fame with Window of opportunity, even if there was a bit of Shipper disappointments. :( i really enjoyed it, loved it with a passion. T,here were so many good bits.

I really really loved the relationship with Orlin, both acters did so well with that. It was so sad at the end.............

There was one problem with the episode though. Pure coincedence that I noticed it. You know the part where Jack and tealc are at the door, and we find out Jack has never seen starwars? Well, I got squire's tape, that she made for me, yesterday, and when I came home from work last night I was watching it, the first episode on it was 1969. When the team are caught after first gating back to 1969, and the man is asking ONeill who he is, Jack says he is a character (I can't remember the name, sorry) from Star Trek I think, and then when asked again, he says he is Luke Skywalker. I'm not sure the exact words BUT he was talking about starwars characters. I'll have to watch them again (not like thats any big deal ;) ) to make sure of the episode and situation, but I know he mentioned starwars. I guess it could be passed off that he just knows the character names, but I just though I'd mention it and see what everybody else thinks.

I loved the part in this episode where Orlin starts saying you like me, you really like me. I dunno, it just made me laugh to see the look on Sam's face.
hmmmmmmmm some good lines.........what can I remember....

Orlin: Just close your eyes.....
Sam: DON'T tell me to relax.

or whatever it was...................sorry i really can't remember the exact words.

Jack: She doesn't have to tell you squat.

See look, any shippers, there is a tiny thread...he did stick up for her at the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sam:........just before I........
Jack: Dozed off?

And the outfit Tealc was in...........cowboy up!

That hit me too. Here you go:

O'Neill: "Captain James T. Kirk, of the Starship Enterprise."
Thornbird: "Your dogtags say otherwise."
O'Neill: "They're lying"

"All right, I'll be honest with you, Bob. My name's not Kirk. It's Skywalker. Luke Skywalker."

There was also that bit around the campfire:
O'Neill: "We came to your planet, to hide among your people, a long long time ago..."
Daniel: "From a galaxy far, far away."

There's also Jack's constant remarks about the dark side :rolly2:
Raptor

I love this episode!!
One weird thing sam said was when jack and tealc came to her house and she says "I can understand why you would assume i didnt have plans"
god i would be jumping to be a friend/lover of sam :D :D

I liked Sams house it was really nice, and it was nice to have a Sam episode as well.
