Just a silly question but if Daniel Jackson is so afraid of heights (the thing about heights he mentioned in Thor's Hall of Might) why does he live on the 8th floor with an open balcony (The Light)?

lol

now that is funny and something to think about.........lol

Sorry it was a silly thing to point out, after he had (reluctantly) parachuted from a plane but I'm new to the forum so I was just trying to break the ice with something trivial!!!!!

ps what does lol mean?::blush:

lol

he parachuted?????????when was this?lol

ps lol stands for laughing out loud :)

He parachuted in "Watergate" (4th season).

Welcome Mariane!

Could be his way of dealing with his problem with heights (e.g. facing the fear). Also he's obviously not severly acrophobic, or he'd never have been able to do what he did in TH (or was it TC?) - just doesn't like height a whole lot.

Yeah its a good question....

Im not fond of heights either but Im not too bad with them if I feel safe..ie if Im on a balcony I feel fine...but put me on a ladder...weel put it this way you never would.
So this maybe the reason he has a balcony...his fear can't be too bad if he can jump out of a plane!!! ;)

Not me!! I can't stand heights (balconies, planes, towers), tight spaces, bugs or water (in or on), in fact anything that might kill me horribly.

I bet if we looked carefully at Daniel's butt, (nice thought :D) we would probably have seen Jack's size 11 boot print to get him out of that plane. They would have to prise my cold dead fingers from the fuselage before I fell!!!:dead:

:D

lol

that was soooooooo funny marianne!!!!!!seriously!!!!!!

im racking my sides here.........:D

Yeah I know what you mean...Im the same, I would never and I mean never do anything like that!! :D

Poor Danny though...he did look real scared (not as I blame him)

Hey Marianne....have you gone and voted for Danny in our Jack V's Daniel thread in general dissucions forum yet??
Jack is in the lead and Danny could do with some votes....

I cast my vote today .... what a decision .... Jack or Danny:rolleyes:, Jack or Danny:rolleyes:, Jack or Danny:rolleyes: ...... and the winner is ... Danny got my vote for just having the edge over Jack (who is so funny, strong, cool and very handsome). Danny has the cutability factor too which I find irresistable (as well as being gorgeous, funny, smart etc etc)

Only one vote in it now ... Jack is still winning though :(.

lol

u cheater!!!!!!!!!! actualyl wat am i saying?i like danny too.....lol

Yeah its good news that Danny is in the lead where he belongs....:D

*sighs* and where he will be for the next months...I hope...:D :D
To get back to the theme: I'm VERY afraid of heights...put me on a ladder too and I will sweat till I'm completely dehydrated...:D :D
That's why I'm sooo looking forwad to fly over to ya, Pam...LOL just kidding! :D

lol

u hate heights too?or are u just trying to mkse danny feel better?lol :D

LOL, nope, I really am afraid of heights! So I can really emphasize!
But there is one thing I'm asking myself: If he was so afraid in Thor's Chariot (and I really can understand it) so why wasn't he afraid in crystal skull? It was even scarier!

lol

the writers crewed him up./...........lol thats y

Thanks for that logic answer, Chilly...LOL

When being afraid of heights I guess jumping down the balcony wouldn't be the choice on how to kill oneself...LOL :D :D
