Ok, having finally aquired "Children of the Gods" on DVD and watched it for the first time ............. (strange i've seen almost all of S4 but not S1 ep1 !! ) I've just got a few questions, being picky and that ...........
The 7 glyphs that Feretti saw Apophis dial on Abydos, he showed them to Jack and Sam when he regained conciousness but the last symbol, the point of origin, doesn't match the point of origin that Daniel had figured out previously in the original movie. Forgive me if I'm wrong but like Earth with the Earth's PoO, doesn't the Abydos one remain the same whenever they dial from there ? Also having been given those glyphs (for Chulak), assuming they are correct, how do they figure out the ones to dial from Earth? Because isn't the sequence different depending on what corner of the galaxy ur dialing from ? I think, or maybe not - Not sure about that. I will provide a screen shot of Ferretti's glyph pattern later if neccessary.
Second, we are constantly told that direction of travel in the wormhole is uni-directional. In that case shouldn't it be that as soon as they set foot or head or whatever in through the event horizon, they shouldn't be able to take it out ? Notice in I think "the enemy within" Teal'c and Kawalski (possessed) fought in front of the stargate and Kawalski's head went in and out of the event horizon several times and in the original movie, Daniel put his hand in and out several times too, doesn't that count as travelling the other way cuz molecular deconstruction has to occur straight away as where else would their hand / face go ?
I know that this is just a TV show, but I'm being picky so :blah:  :wink2:
