Even though they may open their Christmas presents on December 25th, British Trek fans will have to wait until the new year for the most anticipated gift of all.
It was confirmed today that the latest Trek series, Enterprise, will blast off at 8:00pm January 7 on Sky One. Following the two-hour premiere, 'Broken Bow,' regular episodes will air every Monday in the 8:00pm timeslot.
Those without the access to the cable and satellite channel will have to wait longer to see Enterprise, however. Channel 4 snapped up the terrestrial rights to the series, but has not yet announced any premiere date.
Sky One's Monday 8:00pm timeslot has long been a mainstay of science-fiction programming, home to first-run episodes of both Voyager and Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda.
