I think Daniel is a key character. Remember that was him who dicovered the seventh chevron and put that thing to work ! Replace him will not to be easy.
Well they have to do that so I choose another man and a handsome one who will tray to seduce Sam all the time ( not another brother, please) and make Jack very,very jealous. It's obvius that the man should be a great doctor too but not snob. He should be Daniel's disciple.
This new character should have something more interisting to cativate the public ( not another Dogget, please).
And , please DO NOT KILL DANIEL. He had suffering too much ! Give him a chance to return to save the show if necessary.
