Stargate Brainstorm Needed!!!!

Stargate: No Guts, No Glory.

After reading the posts over the next several weeks, there are issues about which we do not really disagree, but that we've talked around and about.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooo . . .

I'm trying to get us back as a "Think Tank" group, with our own VIABLE ideas to input.

Viable doesn't necessarily mean easy; it means don't put up an idea just to make another member angry. Put up EITHER: (1) a good idea for the board (see poll for example), OR a GOOD STARGATE IDEA.

I WILL BEGIN A POLL OF POSSIBLE IDEAS AS TO HOW TO GO FORWARD.

I ask each person to do the following:

1. Vote in this initial pole, unless (see2-3).

2. I've left "stuff to be named at a later date" as a couple of choices.

3. Because I'm the only one who can modify the poll, pm me or email me and tell me what you want me to add in the "stuff to be added" category.

Perhaps this way we can have both a brain jam session and come up with good ideas for one of our favorite shows that, at best has one more season with RDA, 2 movies, and then a whole new spinoff with new characters we won't even recognize.

Let's begin to think about what we want. The first epys in season 6 by SciFi don't begin until June 2002! We might as well make intelligent use of our time.

I voted - "Decide which goa'uld will be the bad guy(s) this time [new fans to attract]"

I agree with the statement that we should have new bad guys without a doubt. New Goa'uld bad guys are scary but not scary enough for me. We need to see some really nasty evil bad guys or even better a new enemy race.

An episode which really got me excited was when we first met the ReeToo (was it ep Show and Tell ?). Looking out over the landscape and seeing all those aliens (like the Starship troopers bugs) - now that was scary !

I might try and capture a sceenshot (DVD) later and you'll see what I mean if you can't remember...

We need to see a *new* (not re-invented) alien race that seems much more of an isolated threat - not so much widespread which puts SG teams in a no-win situation ... not all this we've killed Ra, Hathor, Seth, Apophis so what makes you special Anubis

This would inject a little excitement into the fact that they are gating all over the galaxy and not always to planets inhabited by humanoids .. geez even the ep "Bane" got me excited because of this concept.

i don't think anyone should compromise between conspiracy and stars, coz we'll end up with episodes that neither party likes coz it's not ENOUGH whatever-you-want
if they have a mix of the two, alternating, or some other way both parties wil find a few eps each that they like.

Brainstorming for the second movie would be good. I read an interview that was posted at the MGM site yesterday with RDa and he said that he's defineltly willing to do a movie. So I guess we can basically say that it will happen sometime in the future.

That aside, I've always wondered how it'll all end. What will happen to SG-1? How is it going to lead into the spin-off? There are so many interesting senarios to consider...
