The 1970's

to the best of my knowledge Duncan's history in the 1970's is a blank. The show starts in the late eighties after he married Tessa. Did they meet in the 70's.

he did not marry Tessa --

if you watch season 2 episode 4 or 5 (Darkness, i think is the ep title) -- he proposes to her --

according to a gypsie prophecy, Duncan was never married, and never would be --

as for you question - yes, his life in the 70's is something of a mystery -- i don't recall much of flashbacks dating to that time -

and the series begins in 1992, and Tessa, in the 1st episode, says they've been together for 12 years (she says dozen) - so, they would have met in 1980 -

there's an episode later that shows where/when they met - it was 1980 in Paris - Duncan was running from an immortal and leapt onto the tour boat that Tessa was working on -- describing to tourists the sights of Paris along the Seine --

so, the 1970's in the life of Duncan MacLeod, are oddly missing - i don't know why, unless the writers were attempting to aviod having some corny, cliche looking scenes of Duncan wearing polyester and trying to disco dance ------

we've had the Series and the Raven, so now - the Seventies!

somehow - i'm just seeing that as one long nightmare --

we could do Methos the 70's - he was at least hanging w/ the Stones ---

There was one 1970s flashback for Duncan - in a 5th season episode - I think it was the episode called "The Ransome of Richard Redstone". The flashback shows Duncan in about 1978 or 79 at a casino; the woman he's with wins a lot of money at a gaming table then they get robbed in their hotel suite...

was that the 70's?? i don't like that episode enough to go watch it again b4 i get that far in my reviews (which, yes, i will pick up again shortly - promise) -- all i remember about that flashback was that he had a really really ugly bowtie --- (and the robbery bit) --
