BOBW 14 - What to Expect !!!!

Hi,

BOBW 14, the next STARGATE SG-1 convention weekend experience in Sydney Australia, is just two weeks away !

Dates:
Friday 1st February - Sunday 3rd February 2002

Guests:
Christopher Judge (Teal'c)
Suanne Braun (Hathor)
Colin Cunningham (Major Davis)

***Note: Don S. Davis, who was also advertised as a guest until recently, is now scheduled to appear with Teryl Rothery, and a 3rd guest at a BOBW convention in July this year ***


Venue:
The Millenium Hotel, Kings Cross (behind the Coca-Cola sign)


Highlights to include:
- All guests to appear at all functions (Friday night Cocktail Party,
Saturday night Buffet Banquet, Sunday night Wrap Party)

- All guests to appear on stage on both days of the weekend for both an individual and group presentation.

- Suanne Braun to perform at the Banquet.

- The convention charity, The Guide Dogs Association of NSW & ACT, is scheduled to be bringing along the pups that BOBW will be naming for the contributions that the conventions have generated over the years.

- A professional photographer will be on hand both mornings of the convention weekend for taking photos with the guests. The final product will be a 6x8 inch photo in a special presentation folder, to be available later in the day.

- Foxtel will have a table in the dealers room to promote their channels, and to also let people know that STARGATE SG-1 will premiere on one of their channels (TV1) later this year.

Program:
The program for both days of the convention weekend should be something like:

8.30 Doors Open
Around 10am Official Welcome and then Professional Photos
Then each guest to have solo stage presentation of 45 minutes as well as breaks inbetween and a lunch break.
Main guest- Christopher Judge to be last solo talk. All guests will then appear together on stage for a group session lasting for 1 hour, followed by the autograph session, which should finish by 6pm.

Throughtout the day the photos for the autograph session will be on sale including a couple of casual shots for Colin, one casual shot for Suanne & Chris, and a couple of character shots for both Suanne & Chris.

Tickets will still be available at the door on the convention weekend for the convention days. Tickets to the 'party' events will depend on whether the limits for these events were reached or not and/or advance notice required by hotel for catering purposes.

BOBW-14 ROCKS!

After having attended BOBW-14 this past weekend, I can tell you that if you go to a BOBW con, you can expect no crowds or long lines. You can expect to be treated with respect. You can expect intimacy and an experience that is more like a family-reunion than a convetion. You can expect unlimited access to guests and a chance to hang out with them as if they were your next-door neighbor, without security personnel to shoo you away. You can expect to dance the night away at the banquet and toast the evening at the cocktail and wrap parties. You can expect to leave with memories you will treasure forever.
