The U.S.S. Voyager answers a distress call from a Hirogen training facility, only to find a holographic environment littered with Hirogen corpses. The holographic technology given to the Hirogen by Captain Janeway for hunting training has been modified to the point where the prey have become the hunters. The holograms have not only become self-aware, but are essentially a new race, seeking refuge from `organic` slavery and brutality. Seeking to liberate one of `their own,` the holograms kidnap the Doctor, who soon finds himself torn between his loyalties to Voyager and his holographic brethren.

Flesh and Blood, Part I

what do you think of the episode just shown on Sky One.... for people in the UK as the US has already shown this episode... but feel free to comment

I thought it was a good episode.. brought the hirogen back into the frame... and shows you what happens when u share tecnology with a hunter race....

What you think ??

I thought it was quite a good episode. Good to see the hirogens back again. Amazing to know that they used voyagers technology to the best of their ability. Mind you, if the holodeck crew are retaliating, how can you blame them?

:D annette :D

I thought the story line was strong... almost like they were a race of their own... Poor doc had to make some hard decisions...

i really liked this episode, it was great. it was good to see the hirogens getting a little payback. i couldn't help but feel sorry for the holograms, can't wait for the second part...peachy

Who knows... would be good to see more of them

Well looks like it is a hit all round...

I liked it a lot. It's a two parter though, so I'll have to reserve judgement on whether it's a good enough story to spread over two episodes.

This 'measure of a man' - "are robots / androids / holograms deserving of the same Status as 'organics'?" idea is a very well-trodden Trek theme. This is an interesting new take on it. I can't see why Janeway would take the stand she seems to be, just because they evolved out of Starfleet Technology - to me it doesn't make any difference how they came to be, the fact is that they exist now.

I don't find it at all odd that the Doctor has sided with them, I find it odd that more of the crew haven't too.

Well i got to see the other part recently.... and ??? wont spoil it for ya...

just tell us one thing neo, was it as good as part 1
will we like the ending...peachy

just watched the second part, and you were right

It was great.

I keep wondering why they don't replicate the mobile-holo-emitter. The Doctor has lost it several times now.

that would be a good idea dave, did you like tonights
episode?...peachy

Yes, it was good action packed stuff. I don't know why people knock Voyager when it can turn out stuff like this.

If there was some sort of moral tale, I didn't get the point though. A lot of the things said by people about the holograms were contradictory. Maybe the idea was just to make you think about it.

If I was in charge of the Federation, I would have to restrict Holographic technology in the same way they have cloning technology.

hear hear... i for one loved last the recent episode and think that so far the this season has been great....
