So tell us, who is your favourite recurring, regular, or even one-time character on the show?

I would imagine that there won't be too many votes for Anise, but hey you never know, that Seven of Nine factor might be working out for some of you peeps!

I have tried to include as many people as I can think of at this moment in time - it is four a.m here and I am suffering from a serious bout of sleeplessness.....

so vote early, vote often, and tell me why!

If i haven't included your pick, sorry, but please let me know anyway......

Being a Libran, I was torn...

... between:

Martouf, because he's a sweetie :) but then, nobody can out-sweetie Daniel ;)

Apohis, because of his 'presence'. He makes a good baddie :D

Bra'tac, because, with his age and experience, he's more than just a warrior, plus I loved the way he whumped Jack!

but finally, it just had to be Maybourne because he's such a scallywag :D I didn't like him at first, but it has given quite a spark to following interactions between him and Jack. He's also turned out to be a lot smarter than he seemed initially, when he was toeing the party line as it were, and his opportunistic abilities make him an interesting on-going character :)

Best wishes,
Hatshepsut

i was torn too - maybe it is some kinda libran trait!

But for me it was really just between Martouf (why? why? why?) and Maybourne - I know a lot of people have been knocking the conspiracy stories, but I kinda like them. Well, I will qualify that a bit, I like Maybourne in them (oh - and Kinsey), but I haven't grown to like John De Lancie's Simmons yet - doubt if I ever will.

I also had a slight pang for Kawalsky - I thought he was great! I wonder if anyone will vote for him at all....?

One person always seems to get overlooked, yet he's always there - Gary Jones - so let's hear it for:

"The technician" :D

Best wishes,
Hatshepsut

YES! Another vote for everyone's favorite Sgt, Walter "Harriman" Davis!

Ok its a hard one...

My faves include Bra'tac, Maybourne, Jacob Carter and Davis....

But I have gone for Martouf..as yes he is cute but I also really like his character and the relationship with Sam....

people I left out

There were a bunch of people that I would have liked to put in there - but obviously you can only have a max of ten entries in the poll!

I like Gary Jones too - I thought it was great when he actually got a bunch of lines in 2010!

What about Siler? He's great too, well maybe not the acting, but I dunno, there's just something nice and friendly about him - maybe it's cos he's always about!

I think that one of the advantages of SG1 over its competition (e.g. Voyager) is that it has a large supporting cast, even down to the extras - when scenes are in the SGC there are always people floating about that are familiar, even if they only have one or two lines. I mean lets face it, in Voyager none of the crewmen outside of those who were the "stars" ever really reoccurred, and the nature of the show meant that they would not repeatedly visit the same planet or supporting characters over the entire series.

Well, mine is Tanith. But he's not on the poll. :crying: So my second choice is Martouf.

Krystal :rain:

sorry!

Krystal - sorry about Tanith, I've only seen about half of season five so far, so that means I have seen about 10 mins of him on screen - looks to have good potential though (although I suppose he's been killed off already, grrr those murdering screenwriters....)

Peter Wingfield who played Tanith was, for probably a year or more, the arch-villain of the B.B.C. Radio 4 programme, "The Archers." This is kind of like a soap opera, though fans do not refer to it as such. (More likely to tell you to wash your mouth out if you do :D )

It is 'an everyday story of country folk' which began around 1952-3 (I think) to give farmers information - in a more palatable form than directives - on how to make the best use of their resources.

Anyway, Peter Wingfield took the part of the charming and seductive Simon Pemberton who had a relationship with Shula (nee Archer) which ended after he hit her :( He then moved on to her cousin Debbie and thoroughly beat her up, the cad!

After that, he fled rather than face the consequences, i.e. Debbie's father, and presumably to Highlander ;)

Best wishes,
Hatshepsut

P.S. It was nice to see what he looks like - pretty much as I'd imagined in fact.

Eric Avarri? We are getting more people here! Can not choose, as I love them all!

I really like several of the choices but since I have to choose just one it would have to Davis because he's ever present and dependable:D

Tanith was in The Archers? Bwaaahhaaaaahhaahahahhaha!
(sorry weird sg1-Archers crossover image in my head).

Yeh I know the programme, my gran used to love it years ago, strange to think that he went from that to Highlander :eek7:

oh and I didn't want to leave Erick Avari out - I also left out Sha're (sorry but I think she's dull dull dull), although no on seems to be complaining about that one!

Out of context, but I'm curious. How he looks in the soap opera you mention?

Tabitha, don't worry about left Tanith out of the poll, no hard feelings. :D
