Right now we are about to the halfway point in the first season. And i have completely lost count of all the underlings that eckhart had killed. A lot of them were new mutants which we have been told are not many. If he comes on like this we won't have any competant henchmen left.

O f course eckhart is the only part of the show that I don't relly like. As it stands right now, he is poorly fleshed out and we see no real consistant motivation of his part. he created mutants, now he wants to destory them, yet he is still working on new ways to create them?

Any thoughts.

Eckhart wants to destroy them because he thinks they are an abomination, he himself is a mutant. If you have noticed he wears gloves and a skin covering on his face. He can not be touched his skin I think is like acid. He himself under went a process that saved his life but also turned him into a mutant. So far the only ones he has "taken" not killed to study are his "first officers" or generals as he calls them, who have messed up his plans or were beaten by the Mutant X team. He has only captured one new mutant the one who could sort of "surf the web" and become radio waves etc.

He is working on ways to create mutants to be loyal to him so he can rule the world.

I think Eckhart is really a very egocentric person, he don't accept failure very kindly as you have notice. I don't think he's crazy per se, is more that he doesn't care for others life and when things don't go how he plan, he take his fury in the poor soul that fail to make it as he wish. I really enjoy his character. I will love to see a face to face confrontation between him and Adam.

My two Eckhart favorite scenes so far, are the one when he's eating with they guy that fail in one of the episode, the one he poisoned and this last episode when Emma strike him in the face. So cool.
